  1. Imagine getting so rattled by a few folk being arseholes on Twitter.
  2. Last night was always going to be an anti-climax if we didn’t win and it felt especially so after a drab 0-0. It feels like we’ve been pretty much guaranteed to win the league for a few weeks since Dumbarton chucked it so last night didn’t change much.
  3. I think under normal circumstances that’d be the case but there’s a chance we could win the league at Dumbarton if the game is rescheduled for next week. Tough one to turn down even if you’re pissed off.
  4. I genuinely thought that was a joke tweet from the Stirling Albion Twitter account.
  5. Liam McLeod has twice said that East Fife are closing in on winning the League 2 title.
  6. Two goals (and one red card) in his last ten games against us.
  7. Impossible to tell how much contact there was, not that football is a non-contact sport anyway, but the player certainly did his best to make it look like a dive.
  8. Looks like one to me with the way he flicks his leg out and throws his arms up.
  9. I think I heard the same five minutes. They spent around a minute wondering how old Angus Gunn is before deciding he’s 28 because “it sounds right”.
  10. Sounds more like the McGeachie booking. We did have a few cynical bookings tbf so it’s hard to keep track.
  11. From inside his own half with a couple of other players still to beat? Aye, ok.
  12. He definitely stopped the free kick to book someone in the box. I assumed it was the player that had committed the foul as nothing seemed to have happened in the box and the player accepted it.
  13. He did book him, just not straight after the foul. It looked like he let Stirling take the free kick short and then blew the whistle to stop play to book him. Must’ve been at least 30 seconds between the foul and the booking.
  14. That’s not how it works. If he had been booked for the high foot in the first half, which he should’ve been, it’s unlikely he would have made the deliberate foul that he knew was going to lead to a booking. Gray goes down very easily and was rightly booked for diving.
  15. A draw was a fair result. I thought Dumbarton were there for the taking in the second half but Stirling really struggled to create much outside of set plays despite having plenty of the ball. Second Dumbarton goal was an absolute howler from Jack Leitch.
  16. A Roddy Forsyth article headlined “Humble Gretna out to capture the Hearts”. Humble ffs.
  17. https://www.heraldscotland.com/default_content/12403640.skys-limit-gretna-club-may-small-no-significant-history-thanks-vision-steely-determination-owner-brooks-mileson-manager-rowan-alexander-know-going---straight-top-michael-grant-reports/
  18. That’s not completely true. It was similar to how the media got fooled by Craig Whyte. There was an air of arrogance from Gretna, which is not surprising when you had a squad of players who’d willingly dropped down levels purely for the money being led by someone like Rowan Alexander. The media were happy to print stories in the early days where Alexander claimed that their success wasn’t down to money and that others were just jealous. One journalist printed a story that a Gretna player had been racially abused at every ground in the then Third Division despite having not played at every ground. Fact checking didn’t matter. The media lapped it up and Gretna definitely played their part in feeding it.
  19. It was John Smith who was a director at Stirling Albion. He was also the president of the SFL and spoke out on Mileson giving money to the Berwick’s supporters’ trust.
  20. Kenny McIntyre after the games have finished: “Incredible afternoon. So many talking points” Kenny McIntyre halfway through the first half: “What do you make of Peter Grant’s point that Celtic have tougher games in training than they do in the league?”
  21. I think him putting his hands up is a natural reaction to having a ball hit at his face. His error was being in that position. Awful decision to come charging out.
