  1. Christ no wonder you’ve not been approved on the Junior Fitba forum, you can’t be saying things like that!
  2. Couldn’t agree more. Even the few games I found myself at, we were treated like royalty which was what made us try and go back until I moved away, BUT even when (iirc) we/they beat Burntisland 8-0 in the old quali cup in 2002ish, there was more folk came off the Burntisland bus to watch than there was Welfare fans there... made for a decent afternoon of banter though
  3. Ffs worse than having a teenage daughter, it’s like pulling teeth! Wtf does “an update” mean?!
  4. £9 day ticket will get you to Blackburn and home (£7.50 on same bus to/from Broxburn), and late buses back too if you fancy a scoop or 4
  5. Penicuik, Nitten, Musselburgh and Tranent are easy, plentiful and cheap on the buses...
  6. I’d be tempted to make a night of it in Perth, many will laugh, but I’ve had 2 of my best nights out in Perth! Mental town on a Saturday night, like proper mental!
  7. That, and what HibeeJibee said... I’m sure Newky will add his slant on things too, but it certainly caught me by surprise... just a pure shocker of a season from top to bottom
  8. Basically, they had a season that would sum up my amateur career... a total mare!
  9. Come on now, even I could hear the irony in his comment from here. Well, it made me chuckle either way
  10. That’s a shocker! Can’t believe they thought they were going to get away with that. I imagine the league board will be having words with the Belmac management... The ONE time I big-up an Inverness team as well
  11. At least there’s half a chance of a “quickie” down the back of the Waverley
  12. There it is! There was me thinking they were from Blair Atholl... Hopefully we see a decent team coming from there soon, Breadalbane in the HL would be nice but they seem nowhere near that stage yet, or destine for the EoS setup
  13. ....and Boomtown have entered the building! Seriously though, good luck lads. I’m sure the rest will come round to your ‘unique’ sense of humour... or maybe not!
  14. Tbh he’s got a point... why else would all these players CHOOSE to play at ‘lesser’ clubs? They ALL lack ambition? Or do they know this new chairman and co are going to screw over one of the most loved and recognised non-league clubs in Scotland? I don’t know anyone involved, but I can guarantee you one thing, all these players wouldn’t be leaving en-mass if their wasn’t something very toxic and damaging contributing to their decisions to leave GFR...
  15. So... hands up, who’s got an account on it already?! Unless your IP pings back as in Ayrshire, you’ll be barred!
  16. I’m I missing something glaringly obvious or (apart from Port-na-Craig) have Pitlochry never had a decent team? Has it always been like Aviemore where it looks like a descent sized village, but nobody ACTUALLY lives there?
  17. As much as I’m gutted for WW, it’s the right decision and all you need to do is go and win it... again! Back to the good old days, Whitehill Welfare kings of the East of Scotland league. Pick yourselves up, dust yourself down and show all these new boys how it’s done... go easy on Cuikie though
  18. Yes! Delighted for Bonnyrigg and everyone who helped get them there, finally common-sense won in the end Now, one little thing... you’re polluting the wrong forum. Away n noise up your own forum now
  19. I was just looking through the old maps myself... The older map from 1900ish showing the old Leslie branch line passing just south of the stadium now and heading to Markinch
  20. Offft! Scandal! Ffs no enough keepers up there anymore? I would’ve done it
  21. It was Cumnock & Petershill Ffs thank you!
  22. Wow! Bet Pollock and Clydebank are delighted with that! (It was them who applied for a license...having a brainfart!)
  23. awww poor things! At least they can argue that their maws their sister til the cows come home without worrying about the bully boys talking about football
  24. Last time I passed through Blackburn there was an old boy giving it shapes at the traffic lights... just assumed that was BM after getting their license through and forgetting to take his meds. Some good moves though!
