  1. Cavani decent shout for a couple of seasons too, if the money wasn't ridiculous. Guys like him, Umtiti, Koulibaly and Rabiot are perfect for the EPL and would absolutely storm it. Obviously Tagliafico at LB as alternative to Tierney, slightly more expensive but not much. Meunier squad player cover both sides. Jones, Bailly, Young, Darmian all gone.
  2. Sigh, this is one of those posts that is so idiotic and wantonly stupid it takes effort to even drag yourself round to replying to it. Suffice to say its the last time with you, as wilfully ignorant people like you go on ignore, as will you be after this reply. It is the duty of any journalist to conduct journalism. This means subjecting both sides to scrutiny. Furthermore, it is especially the duty of a BBC journalist (bound by rules of impartiality) to be fair, balanced and impartial. A political journalist spends his entire career waiting on an opportunity like this. This was a complete open goal for Marr, and he refused to even take the shot. He had the Chancellor of the Exchequer live on his show, 12 hours after the first poll showing yes in the lead, making a wide ranging ground breaking policy announcement completely changing the political landscape and choice on offer just three days before the referendum. There's a couple of key things any actual journalist and not an establishment shill like Marr desperately trying to facilitate a no vote would have been all over and utterly hammering Osborne on relentlessly. One- you've literally come up with this overnight haven't you? This policy did not exist yesterday, has never been mentioned before, a poll was released 12 hours ago showing yes in the lead and you and a few govt spivs have been up all night coming up with this haven't you? (He did look exceedingly tired actually). After spending two years telling us the SNP's plan for independence was written on the proverbial packet, you've literally just come up with a plan for the constitutional future of the UK over the space of a few panicked hours, that's irrefutably the case isn't it? You'll be amazed to find Marr did not mention that at all. Two - this is a breach of purdah isn't it? That's why they're pushing you out to announce it three days before the referendum (not being officially part of the no campaign) as its illegal to do this isn't it? I'm sure you're needing medical assistance at the news Marr did not mention this at all either. And literally uttered 'wow' in response to one of Osborne's policy announcements of all the super duper new powers Scotland would be getting (later to consist of partial control of income tax, and road signs). I think its clearly you who doesn't understand what balanced is, and the rules and laws under which journalists (especially public broadcasters) and politicians are required to operate. There was no nuance to this. On ignore.
  3. It depends but also extremely common.
  4. Against Scottish independence he is as biased as it's possible to get. Deeply unprofessional all objectivity out the window all commitment to good journalism gone. Watch his the vow interview with George Osborne, he is chipping up pre rehearsed softballs for Osborne to knock out of the park, and actually answers 'wow' to one of his responses.
  5. I think they're five points above relegation places now.
  6. He didn't need to play yesterday or next week, could have had his op a week ago (hernia is a very minor op) and been back.for cup final and Scotland. Celtic have managed him horrifically, played him far too much initially, we are seeing the results of that now.
  7. I think a bid for Declan Rice would be in order too, though expensive having signed a new deal recently. Perfect player for them to build their midfield around. Also Rabiot but you may have to pay him ridiculous wages to get.him to choose Man Utd over his other options.
  8. I don't really support a team. Was raised a rangers fan and abandoned them when I got to about 19. I think Tierney is a good shout for LB, and cheap. So a whole new back five with Romero behind Wan-Bissaka Koulibaly Umtiti Tierney All for about £170 million, leaving you still in profit with the players leaving and also in profit in wages. Sanchez could go too, cheeky wee bid for Sessegnon (£30 million) and Van der Beek (£35 million). Then turn your attention to midfield. I would let Mata go, bid for Ndombele (£35 million), and then be on the hunt for two or three central midfielders, at least one a DM Possibly one very experienced as well like Rakitic or Pjanic. Saw they were linked with Dembele this week, he is a class act with still a good season or two in him, possibly him if cheap. Matic could go.
  9. Anyone who ever thought there would be an early election is an idiot, there has never been any chance of this, simply because the Tories might lose it.
  10. All Celtics games are essentially meaningless, they play in a diddy league and diddy cups and are third/fourth rate European side. The last meaningful game they played was in 2003.
  11. Koulibaly (£75 million) as alternative to de Ligt.
  12. Perhaps de Ligt (£85 million) if he was attainable and Jovic (£65 million) with Lukaku heading out the exit door. Not sure those two would choose Man Utd though.
  13. Imagine you are appointed Man Utd manager in the summer. I had a look at their squad and ideally there's only ten players I would want to keep. But realistically any rebuild will have to be done in stages, so.give us a list of say six or seven players you would sign to turn them round in the summer. Personally I think they need a whole new.back five and a couple of midfielders. Also some players you would move on. Let's put an imaginary budget of £300 million, perhaps £350 million if you can bring a decent amount in in transfer fees too. For me, the first things I would do are sell Pogba, and sign Umtiti (£45 million) and Wan-Bissaka (£25 million). I would also sell de Gea and promote Romero to first choice, saving a bit of money to be spent elsewhere.
  14. That's the only one, he could have had it two weeks ago and been available for both. If it needs to be managed he could miss the next two and play the last one and be fit for the cup final and Scotland. They are talking about him being available this weekend. Their attitude.is basically fk Scotland. They could delay it a week and he could be available for Scotland. There's lots of ways.
  15. But it's not fascism. Nice uniforms are also commonly found in fascist regimes but a Dallas cowboys game is not a fascist gathering.
  16. I think you need to look up a definition of fascism.
  17. Because Robertson has demonstrated his commitment already. I think a player's level of commitment should absolutely be a factor in deciding their future involvement. If we qualify and Tierney has pulled out of half of more of the squads he doesn't deserve a place in our tournament squad. I agree he is regressing, and Celtic are now being detrimental for his development. Ironically a bigger club who play more important games would see him withdraw less than being at Celtic does, as he's less important for say spurs than Celtic. Although it wouldn't be a club like that now, two years ago sure but now he'll have to go to a lesser club and prove himself before he gets a move like that. Two and a half years ago he was the best player on the park against Man City in a 3-3 draw. That's when his stock was highest, if he'd left the following summer the biggest clubs in the world would have been all over him. Not now. Funnily enough good performances in international football would help with that, games against Hamilton and Motherwell will not.
  18. Robertson was willing to book a separate flight and play, he was advised not to. You don't speak for players, a lot of them, Robertson included, do care about playing for their country. Tierney is singled out cause he obviously doesn't. Or more likely he's a daft wee boy being lead astray by Celtic.
  19. We simply expect him to show a modicum of commitment to playing for Scotland. He demonstrably does not. That's unarguable.
  20. They could have done it two weeks ago.so he could be fit for the cup final or he could delay it another week and be fit for Scotland. They're scheduling basically says 'f**k Scotland '. So f**k.him too. Zero commitment to playing for Scotland, I'd love to see us quality for the Euro's and leave a fit Tierney at home.
  21. Shocker, didn't expect that at all. Scotland should.just tell him to fk off, say they're worried about burnout so are going to give him three years off.
  22. Deluded. Eighteen times they voted to hold a referendum, eighteen times they were denied.
