  1. How much money will it cost us NOT signing anyone? For a start it almost certainly means the Bartley project is doomed so that's a years contract we'll have to find to pay him and Murray off. Then there's the fan base who are already at the end of their tether. That's guaranteed to fall even further as well as putting off any future fans. Next season yet another new manger, another new team building exercise and another new season of hoping we'll do something all for the sake of not bringing in a few players on a roughly 4 month contract to look like we have some kind of ambition at even the very least and at best which is far from unrealistic make a top 4. Perish the thought of our multi millionaire chairman actually showing some ambition. It's time folk woke up. Even this Queen's page is dead compared to what it used to be. Folk are just fed up.
  2. Anyone who genuinely believe the board have decided to write this year off and go for a push next season are living in cloud cuckoo land. The bod are doing what they do best, Nothing.
  3. Johnston wasn't backed in the January transfer and we got relegated. There's no plan by the board. They are simply incompetent and not fit to run a football club. For god's sake look at the decline since Hewitsons taken over. GET RID OF THIS BOD !!!!
  4. We had just under 900k in the bank when we got relegated. The Queen's Arena also gives us some income. There's a reason why we have a team stuffed with youth and that's because their wages are low. Would expect us to be part time next season as the accounts must look horrific now and subsequent attendance will drop to 500 levels. Shame as we used to be quite settled in the championship till this current Chairman took over and slowly destroyed everything - and still he remains with only a few mutterings of displeasure on the internet as pressure. Fans have given up, we've no fight left, utterly done as a club.
  5. Can you remember when we used to play Dobbie up front on his own and he looked distinctly average unless inside the box with the ball at his feet Some strikers are suited to playing up top on their own (Gavin Reilly) others aren't. It doesn't make them a poor striker. He got no service what so ever but no one mentions that. Give the lad a chance. He's hardly played any games and needs to be in a pair.
  6. Surely the club don't give a manager the entire seasons budget in one hit.? They know what we're signing and how much the wage bill is. Last week Bartley was saying he was looking to bring in a few players, this week it was a one out one in policy. His body language said it all. It's clear what's going to happen. Give him his own noose to hang himself then throw him in the river at the end of the season.... It stinks quite frankly mainly because they had the chance to sack him but didn't and now it's looking like they're not prepared to back him either.
  7. Yeah and who gets the punishment the board doing this "right thing" you're suggesting? If they're not happy with Bartley then get shot it's as simple as that. They did exactly the same with Johnston not backing him in the January transfer and we got relegated as a result. It's pretty conclusive how desperate they are to get us out of this division. More than happy just to see us rot.
  8. "Plenty of effort but just need that bit of quality" Think you're describing Alloa not Queens. We just look like a collection of individuals who've never met before and who's central midfield has been told by the manager strictly to avoid going anywhere as high as the half way line. Hutchinson isn't match fit clearly but he got the square route of f all service. Midfield is just a shambles. No width and spends most of its time holding hands with the back 4.
  9. Another spectacle of utter dross to add to the collection.
  10. Hope the re signing of Harry and Efe isn't counting towards Bartley's January transfer spends / numbers.
  11. Agree. He can't have any complaints of getting the heave and I certainly don't blame anyone calling for his head but I just can't see this squad being any different no matter who's in charge.
  12. Be a bit bad if this technical issue is really cover for his departure. So basically the club would have lied to everyone publicly
  13. If the clubs target for this season was promotion then Bartley would be long gone. What promotion hunting club would continue with this league form? Just wouldn't happen. They either can't afford to sack him, too scared to sack him or are quite content.
  14. Can't afford to sack him but can't afford not to sack him. Once Bob the builder returns he'll be gone.
  15. November 2023 company house: B Hewitson - 9369 M Blount - 314 C Patterson - 3192
  16. Unfortunately the only people with any kind of clout who have a chance of removing him or at least making it uncomfortable at match days is the travel club and the majority of them appear to have the mindset like you say of although he's not perfect no one else will take it on we should stick. I just don't know how bad it needs to get before people wake up and see the bigger picture.
  17. Docherty has pace and although Gavin's not as quick as he was he's hardly a slouch. What's the better option? One up front with no pace lol The midfield is crap, that's the issue. Doesn't get forward enough, doesn't create enough, no physical presence and no height.
  18. Because the majority of fans who are left still carry the scars of the Davie Rae era and think Hewitson is some kind of sugar daddy we couldn't possibly live without. The truth is he's slowly sucking the life out of the club and unless he's removed we won't have a club left anyway.
  19. Agree. His body language was shocking, didn't look interested but he's got the ability in him, it's just about unleashing it. With what we have as alternative, I'm glad he's still here.
  20. Marvin Bartley signing was fantastic after Gibson departed. The January transfer he brought in decent players but the squad he's currently assembling is definitely a surprise we'll say. To show ambition would be to assemble a squad which looks good enough to be challenging for the title from the off. It's a very young squad we've got. Whether that's down to the clubs preferred route, the manager's choice or budget constraints I don't know. What I do know is we can't afford another shit show of a season.
  21. No but we might get someone in who can take the club forwards.
  22. No one's taking over till they stand down, properly, not this if someone comes forward crap. If they just looked like they wanted promotion there would be no issue. We just can't carry on with mediocre football. There has to be some ambition shown to get out of this division or a fan push for change which there's no signs of.
  23. And there's plenty on here who have this mindset that things could never be any better than they are and we should be grateful yet when the brown stuff hits the van will be straight on blaming the manager for poor signings completely ignoring the fact it's the regime at fault. How shit does it need to get before some folk open there eyes?!? We've had 5 seasons of this and the signs are we could well be on for a sixth!
  24. Result doesn't matter but you'd expect us to at least be the better team or is that too much wishful thinking...
