Got to agree with Northbank here. Dunne distribution is pretty poor to say the least. That being said I don’t think he’s had a poor game for us yet but his passing is definitely not one of his string points. Fraser at WB and McCarthy in the back 3 is how I would go as well.

Don’t think we’re anywhere near the point of worrying about it being a long season ahead that’s just silly after 2 games but ifs fair enough to say there’s some worrying aspects to our game just now. We’re trying to play the game with wing backs when we have no one especially suitable for it on the right side of the park. Tait is fine as a RB , wing back he doesn’t have the speed for. Young Henderson is ok going forward but defensively not great. Seen that with the 2nd Dundee goal last week where he filed to even attempt to stop the cross. Marcus Fraser would be better there than both with McCarthy slotting back into the back 3. Think we also need to have 2 of power , erhahon and Flynn playing in front of the back 3 if we are going to persist with it with only one of kiltie or mcgrath playing I front of them.

Your off your head if you think St Mirren were the better team there. That’s about as easy a win as Hearts will get all season. Plenty of the ball for St Mirren after the first 25 mins but we struggled to do anything at all with it. Once we did get the goal, a moment of madness from Dennis put an end to any slim hope we had of getting another so late.

Hard to understand why we started off by allowing hearts the ball and inviting pressure onto us. I mean if we had Erhahon in there beside Power and some genuine pace on the park to allow us to hit them on the counter then I’d understand it but we don’t. Slightly better last 20 mins of the half but still not great. Big improvement needed this half

I can see why the Dundee boys are so giddy after that. The game was there to be won for us and with the exception of a 15 minute spell at the end of the first half we were in total control. Bit of a worry that our substitution after the red card was a guy who had barely even played in pre season and who is predominately a defender rather than an attacker. Attacking reinforcements in the wide areas are definitely required.
