  1. Someone will be along soon to convince us that the ball is flat.
  2. Few rangers fans in the league voting with their heart. Is the vote not usually in March as well? If so then Lafferty had played even less games than he has now. Two Arbroath boys got to be the favourites. Wouldn't have Tiffoney either but he seems like the sort of guy that opposition players would struggle against so can understand why they'd vote that way.
  3. Were you not interested in the bodo glimt manager before Maloney? Could see the board going for him again as say what you want about them they seem to be quite ambitious in what they want from the club. Thomson/Brown would be a lazy combo that a lot of boards woild default to but feel like the Hibs board will be a bit more adventurous than that for some reason.
  4. From the outside it definitely looks harsh hiring a new manager, giving him 4 months mid season, selling his best player in January and not allowing him any time at all to learn on the job or from his mistakes before sacking him before his first summer transfer window. Surely if you're hiring a first time manager you have to give them the best opportunities to succeed, and it doesn't seem like the board have done that. That's a squad who've got two managers sacked this season now, so I'm sure Maloney feels he should have been given the chance to clear it out. That being said they see behind the scenes and if it's not working its not working and he doesn't seem the most inspiring character.
  5. I actually think on purely football and a supposed community club terms a club owner coming out with such disdain for the fans the way he does in that article is worse than anything that happened previously. Telling fans to go support another club as probably the most tone deaf thing an owner can say. Owners who own a club for a few years and are narcissistic enough to think that they can be righteous and demeaning to a community that has supported a club through multiple generations and will continue to do so long after they're gone are the most dangerous types of owners. If that's what he says publically then what's he saying behind closed doors.
  6. This is what happens when you replace the PR firm brought in to fix the original mess with Frank Conner PR Ltd on the cheap.
  7. Weird arrangement. He's leaving at end of season but he's not in charge of final games of the season but he's helping plan for next season but the club have already started looking for a new manager.
  8. Okay okay our sex offender is worse than your sex offender.
  9. Your star signing in January was someone who was trying to fire in to a 15 year old only about a year ago.
  10. Both those things sound far more entertaining than watching Falkirk this season it appears.
  11. Isn't a Saturday night these days without checking in on how the Scottish Sunderland have embarrassed their fans again.
  12. Ah well another point towards safety. Pleasing performance in many aspects just need to be more clinical.
  13. Surprised we've kept this tempo up the whole match tbh. Killie been toothless as well.
  14. Couple of people I know in the cowshed have said they thought it was a stonewaller as well.
  15. Sounded like everyone in the stadium thought it was a pen at the time, and looked a pen on TV in live time before the other angle. Ref has been awful tonight but genuinely don't think that it was a horrific decision, just an ultimately wrong one.
  16. Wasn't a penalty but looked an absolute stonewaller in live time so can see why it was given.
  17. No wonder the players are trying hard. f**k having Warnock and Dougie in the dressing room having a go at you at half time.
  18. Got to praise Imrie for bringing back the Strapp we expected him to be. Under Gus he looked every inch like he'd regressed in to a potentially career lower championship top of league one level fullback and his confidence was absolutely gone. The turnaround almost from the moment Imrie walked through the door has been striking and I don't imagine he will be here next season.
  19. Refereeing at this level is shambolic. Used to be they'd make consistently match altering wrong decisions but seems recently they just miss the most basic things that you'd expect a Sunday league ref would get right.
  20. Ugwu probably needs dropped and has been ranging from average to awful the past 6 weeks or so but wouldn't say there's any lack of effort, just quality. Too much recency bias going on for some Morton fans with regards to him for me. If he was consistent enough to be at his best every week he would be nowhere near Morton or have the amount of clubs he's had, but judged over the course of the season he's been absolutely vital to us and more than worthy of a new contract. We'd be cutting our nose off to spite our face by not offering him anything based on some poor form towards the end of the season. Break over the summer and I'd have every confidence in him coming back refreshed and being the cult hero and absolute nuisance for championship defences he's been for the majority of the season.
  21. Not like yogi to mention possession in the first sentence of his interview.
  22. This is like watching prime Atletico Madrid from us tonight. Back three deserve to keep a clean sheet.
  23. The majority of errors from Hamilton have been in the ' should have done better' category rather than howlers. Ones that you get by keepers at every single level. If a keeper has a reputation for howlers though then the previous category can get overblown. He had a few howlers over a week or two period mid season where we had a lot of games so you can start to worry that the Hamilton of old was beginning to appear, but in reality only having two weeks of consistent poor form over the course of a season is impressive for any player. If we'd only had Saturday games during that period we'd have probably barely even noticed. He's been sensational this season and came up with massive saves in games that we've picked up important points in.
  24. Don't understand the " what's changed now?" brigade. Humans are by their very nature hypocrites, including the people who are shouting about it this time. Whether it be on a tiny level like moaning at an opposition team time-wasting as if it was a criminal offence to then lap it up when your team is doing it to hold on to a win, to the much more serious issues like how we are all following the news intently regarding Ukraine but by and large don't give a f**k about bombings in Syria etc or even the fact that we as a country ourselves have been involved in unjust wars in our lifetimes. Like it or not public perception and public outcry is a major factor in life and perception is reality. The people who didn't know or particularly care about Goodwillie a month ago now making deemed hypocritical decisions are entitled to do so, because the outcry of being so publically associated with a rapist in a case that you're much more educated about than you were a month ago is much different world than the 5 years previously when you didn't seem to care.
