  1. The hand ball decision on the highlights is one of the worst refereeing decisions I've seen, which give the level of officiating at this level is some going. No one can convince me otherwise that Quitongo hasn't absolutely played for that penalty and went down when he didn't need to but the decision we weren't given was 10000000x more blatant.
  2. I didn't think he was as bad as people were mentioning either tbh. It looked like a classic shock welcome to Scottish championship football performance for me tbh. I saw nothing that made me think he's going to tear the league up or anything but there were two or three moments when he did something that made me think that there's an acceptable championship player in there.
  3. Still can't believe the raith player turned back inside when through on goal. We had the best chances by far including an open goal miss from yards out yet that still managed to be the most pathetic attempt by anyone on the pitch.
  4. The official stream camera was right behind Quitongos run across the defender and it looked quite the dive tbh. Wasn't a replay so can't be sure. Great assist by the raith player anyway with last kick of the game.
  5. We had only scored 9 league goals before today, just to ruin the weekend for accies fans even more.
  6. Weird thing to say about someone who's work you just praised so heavily in your previous post.
  7. We had somewhat of a well drilled and tactically organised team defensively under Gus as well, which is no surprise considering its the same (much maligned) assistant manager who is the main man at training just as he was under Gus. Imrie obviously has a thousand attributes that make him a better manager than Gus and why his teams would perform better (i.e the confidence he installed in the players and his wish for more of players to get in the opponents box when he joined etc) but in terms of how well drilled and tactically organised this Morton team are then that is mostly down to Andy Millen, which is probably the reason he's so highly thought of as a coach within Scottish football compared to our views of him thanks to our awful period under Gus. As I said maybe there's a brilliant tactical manager in there who loves his team to play lovely attacking football in a 4-3-3 formation but hasn't had the chance to implement it at Morton yet, but no one knows at this point what his limitations are as a manager.
  8. The squad this season just isn't as good as last season. We were in dire financial trouble until the Dalrada stadium sponsorship deal came in a few weeks ago and were forced to go in to the season with barely any of the key players from last season and lots of youth players who aren't really ready for this level yet. He's not above criticism though as he's getting in to the realms of having favourites in the squad regardless of performance that is starting to really damage our performances and results. I would also say we haven't really seen anything from him that he is a better manager than setting up a team of plucky hard working guys who get stuck in, but who knows if that's because that's all he has had to work with or if that is his limitations. I presume the answer to that might be found out at his next club rather than at Morton.
  9. He was an absolutely horrific manager for us but a lot of fans would have been happy enough for him to take a job as a director of football or something as it definitely suits his skills better. Unfortunately there was just too much water under the bridge by the time we sacked him so that was never on the cards. I assume he was on gardening leave with us as he still has a contract until 2023 so if you've just saved us some money then thank you very much.
  10. And miss my padded foot step and champagne reception in the cowshed? I will kindly reject your invitation but thanks for the offer.
  11. Weird that I've been on this site for far longer than I'd ever care to admit and there's never been an actual issue with away fans attending a game at cappielow until Ayr this season, including dozens of games vs Ayr. Bonnyrigg, Cove and Dundee fans managed it fine this season also without having a nervous breakdown.
  12. We have the best defence in the league so far and we've conceded half the amount of goals as the 2nd best defence in the league this season and Baird has been a part of that so he's doing absolutely fine. Obviously that means we will get pumped 6-0 with 4x Baird own goals tomorrow now I've stated that but up until now he's been good.
  13. Our website is atrocious at the best of times nevermind searching for something historic but I only had to go as far back to our match on 4th Dec 2021 (there's been one cappielow match between then and now) to find the ticket information for Ayr away fans that states you will be situated in sections F&G of the main stand while the match after that states that you'd be in the cowshed as that was a period when the club were trying it out again. You're very much mistaken if you remember being in the cowshed half a dozen times in recent years. The trials of away fans in the cowshed that have happened very speradically over the past 20+ years have never even lasted a full season, nevermind you having been to three seasons worth of cowshed access away games in a row (unless you enjoy coming to watch other teams playing Morton)
  14. The legitimate ticketing concerns have been addressed and agreed with by multiple Morton fans. The knicker-wetting over what has been club policy for decades because you once experienced a life affirming Woodstock-like experience at cappielow in 2018 is rightly getting the pelters it deserves.
  15. Now you're just making stuff up. The away club advises us on how many fans to expect and if that number fits in the main stand then that's where the fans have went in about 90% of our home games over the past 20 years (there have been some occasions the club have trialled moving away fans in to the cowshed to improve atmosphere but these have only been temporary and never lasted) If the away fans expected from the figure the away club gives is higher than the main stand allows or if the numbers are higher than expected on the day then the WDE is opened, along with the main stand which is covered so if you don't want to get rained on you have that option also.
  16. How is it a punishment? Being put in the main away portion of the ground that most teams have went to for decades without a fuss. Knicker-wetting getting a bit ridiculous here from some.
  17. Screenshotted those comments in case you've a few idiots in the crowd tomorrow. At least when you're sitting in your jail cell you'll be used to cramped spaces already.
  18. I'm not convinced we will have anyone signed today and think we will go in to tomorrow's game short. We could wait until later in the month to try and get rid of Lyon and Garrity and find there's no longer clubs out there for them to go to which then hampers our budget to bring in the quality of players that Imrie wants. It's a calculated risk on Imrie's part but I don't think either Lyon or Garrity had much of a part to play in the coming weeks.
  19. You'd think that Ayr fans were being put in some inhumane corner of the ground rather than a stand that hundreds of Morton fans actively choose to sit in every week. At 6ft 2 I wouldn't choose to sit there if I had the choice but any time I've had to I've managed to get through it absolutely fine without PTSD at the end of it.
  20. There was until this week when the club changed it. They said its outwith their control and Raith force you to sign up for monthly subscription as well so not sure if its an SPFL directive or something that's making clubs not be able to sell individual matches anymore. Seems a bit backwards as its losing income from away fans who aren't going to pay for things like that. Might force you guys to take enough fans for the WDE end though so you win some you lose some.
  21. The loan market from Scottish Premier league clubs isn't until the end of September. Other than unfortunate timing for the Ayr game there's nothing to panic about yet.
  22. Sounds like jealousy to me. Knowing Nicky as well as I do I know that's not a character trait he likes in his mates.
