The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread

Right well in that case I have no interest in getting involved in whatever nonsense you're spouting and ruining this thread any more than we have already. Morton are so back baby. Time to kick on. -

What the f**k are you even talking about? No idea what you're even talking about now but don't see what it's got to do with morton fans saying " we are back" or us only being three points ahead of you. You sound like you must be hours deep on the sauce after today's performance so if that's the case I'll let you off. -

I see you completely making up weird scenarios in your head about Morton fans in your first post wasn't a one off. Enjoy your night you mentalist. -

At no point in my post did I mention the points difference. Maths clearly your strong point in school 'cause your reading is fucking mince. -

Our first game was literally the first game of the season and we were bottom of the league in december and have now won 4 and drawn 2 of our last 6 games with 4 clean sheets in a row so please forgive me for pointing out that you're talking absolute pish. -

If I remember correctly we were unbeaten vs Dundee and Queens park last season so it can only be good for us that we are starting to pick up points against the diddy teams. -

Glad to see that the Ayr rightback has vastly improved since his debut at cappielow earlier in the season. Absolute walk on the park. Not often you get to enjoy morton games knowing the game is over long before the end. Former Kilmarnock hero Alan Power coming on for a cameo and refusing to pass the ball just so he can skin Ayr players over and over again was an added highlight. -
Ton v QP - clash of the titans

Watched red card multiple times and still find it hard to decide from the angle of the camera. If he's stood on his foot/ankle from behind then it's a yellow but if he's raked him down the back of the calf then the red card is fair. -

Brilliant performance from the whole team. I've been crying out for mullen to be our first choice keeper all season and you saw today why. Brilliant saves, command of area and our goal came from his composure passing out from the back rather than us hoofing it long. Massive fan of him. Need to see referee decisions again but in real time both looked like terrible decisions. Oakley was bullying QP defenders all half as well which was the most disappointing thing about losing him. Actually thought at the start of the second half QP played against 10 men excellently but overloading the wings and switching from side to side but we defended our box excellently. The reality is they only done that because we were in such a narrow formation from the start of the game that we made them look good and as soon as mcgrattan came on and gave us some width and an out ball they completely lost their way and started forcing the same switches of play that had been working for them. No bad performances from us today but special mention to Muirhead who ran himself in to the ground and collapsed to his knees at full time. He gets unfairly called lazy by some of our fans because he's not Jamie Vardy but he's constantly running himself to breaking point for the team most weeks and coming up with big moments at key times. -
Excellent performance and much more like the Morton of old. We are very good at what we do Strapp clear MOTM and his throws seem even longer now. Inverness couldn't deal with them at all. I was a bit worried when Power came on but I thought he was fantastic as well. We just need to keep this up and pick up a few more wins. We've had good runs under imrie so hopefully this is the start of another one.

The Queen of the South thread

I was surprised the interviewer kept asking such leading questions regarding the shiteness of the players and their attitudes etc considering its an official club interview. A fifteen minute post match interview is quite something and she seemed to be doing her best to prolong the interview and Bartley's agony. He looks very much like a guy that's out of ideas and mentally exhausted. If he's saying that he's coaching them what to do in situations and also throughout the week outside of football and they're not listening then there's not exactly anywhere else to go at that point. -
I long for the days of last season when we were " good at what we do". Now we do f**k all other than pass the ball to a centre back or fullback and have them launch it in to the box from our own half. You might get a lucky break or two doing that at this level but over the course of the season we will end up exactly where we are now We've always been a direct team under Imrie but we would get the ball in to the attacking third and actually play some football but we look so devoid of ideas now it's frightening, and Imrie is clearly running out of ideas judging by the multiple system changes in the second half. .

Wasn't feeling overly optimistic all week but broadfoot being out and the fact that last season the teams that tried to play football tended to struggle against us has given me some hope. The result is crucial above anything but I'm really hoping we see the sort of performance that resembles what we know the players can give.

Pars vs Morton - Sat 23rd Sep
port-ton replied to Cardle is Magic's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
My stream has been buffering loads so it was already a frustrating watch but f**k me we've been bad. Power seems to be running faster when it's buffering. We are so one paced and sitting so deep with Muirhead on an island himself up front. We are a pressing team and nowhere near good enough to sit deep and invite pressure and are getting torn apart. Just glad I can turn it off now. -
In a shock turn of events cudjoe's appeal has been dismissed, proving that elbowing people in the face and then appealing it might not be the best use of time and resources. Dundee Utd fans taking the news extremely well on twitter as expected. The sort of anger over correct decisions that you'd expect from Old Firm fans.

Cudjoe is such a thug. Tried to get away with it using the dark arts as well. Classic from a Jim Goodwin side.

If you go on to the Morton twitter account page and search the word King on it you'll see a few of his goals, the majority of which were scored when he was still 17 last season. Am absolutely fantastic prospect and already has the body of a man so should cope comfortably with the physicality of league 2.

He needs regular game time to develop especially with his potential and he's not going to get that coming on for 15 mins every week or two. Sure with our squad it's more handy to keep him but theres still times where he comes on as a sub and looks like a lost boy tactically so this can only help us and him in the long run by getting lots of games in between now and January. If we can get an Alex King back in January that's ready to start every week in the championship then we will be a better team for it.
