I’m not saying Alston was fantastic, far from it, but you do just get certain players/teams who don’t seem to gel as well as they should.

In terms of overall performances I would say McGinn and Alston pretty close last season. Alston’s goals probably just shading it for him in terms of who had the better season.

Your views on people taking their kids is 100% correct. I couldn’t take my daughter every week into that culture and feel I was doing the right thing. No doubt the ones with the blinkers on will disagree but it’s disgusting to think people are allowing their kids to be brought up thinking that singing songs about killing people of a different religion is acceptable.

What Northern Ireland?

I was originally going to only post this about Northern Ireland but thought I would throw Scotland in as well. **appreciate that players play for both club and country just be creative in your thinking** Looking at the N. Ireland team and squad for their game with Cyprus last night I was asking myself how good a job their team would do against Kilmarnock or other Premiership clubs. I don’t think that Northern Ireland could win our league although I would fancy them for a top 4 finish. Moving onto Scotland I’m sure that our NT would win our league especially with good strength in defence and midfield if everyone is fit. Could potentially be outgunned by Celtic and Rangers of course due to our lack of options up front. Robertson, Tierney, McGinn and McTominay the standouts for Scotland of course and nobody in the league really on their level.
