  1. Port Street, I know where you mean. Stirling does seem to have a fair share of cyclists for whom the rules don't apply/matter.
  2. That should make sure you're seen for sure!!! Really hard to fathom why cyclists would wear dark clothing, particularly at night. They've either got a death wish; are totally unaware of the implications; or are just incredibly stupid, think they own the road and car drivers should wear night goggles to see them.
  3. Looking at my invitation letter, they give a number for the vaccination helpline - 0800 030 8013. Hopefully they may be able to help. Just have your CHI number handy.
  4. Got my third dose today, and was told research is ongoing to determine if booster shots will be needed. My invitation for the third dose came in a letter from NHS Scotland and just said "according to our records...". Suggests that, if you got your original doses as part of the immunosuppressed cohort, the letter should come out automatically. Good luck.
  5. It's been done to death before on this thread no doubt, but cyclists!! Almost hit 2 of them tonight. They both had no lights and were wearing dark clothing, cycling along dimly lit roads. Was virtually past them before I noticed them. Had to take last minute evasive action and could easily have swerved into oncoming traffic trying to avoid hitting them.
  6. He looks like Jonathan Watson doing Frank McAvennie as Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber.
  7. I think most clubs don't name any of their players, and that seems reasonable to me. Can only imagine players maybe get some abusive trolling if they're suspected of having covid by speculation on social media, or that they just feel it's nobody's business knowing/speculating about their personal circumstances. Even writing that feels a bit lame though. There doesn't appear to be any stigma among the general population for anyone with covid, so I'm a bit baffled too as to why the club felt the need to issue a statement.
  8. Thanks for this. Was looking for something along these lines.
  9. It looks on paper as if we've slightly strengthened defence, and improved our midfield a fair bit. Would have been happier if Binnie was still here, but Callum Law may be a decent back up to Currie. Losing Andy Ryan is a real blow. His all round game and particularly his goals will be a miss. The top teams in any division tend to have a decent/excellent goalscorer, and I don't see anybody in our team who will do that for us, good forwards though they are. If one or two of them can give us 10-15 goals, and a few others chip in with between 3 and 6, I think we should be in the top 2 or 3.
  10. Our official website saying the clubs are in discussion about away fans being allowed in.
  11. Hoping for a better result than the last time we met! These games are sort of competitive friendlies to me before the league season starts, but you still want to give a good account of yourselves. Anyway, I see you still haven't got the striker to complement Megginson yet. Get a 10 to 15 goal target man and I'd expect you to be right up there challenging this season. Even with that line up, top 4 should be well within your reach. Enjoy being back in the ground.
  12. Nah, you're spot on. There's a one way system in operation at a retail car park near me, and I've lost count of the times arseholes go the wrong way cos they see a space. They seem to think, if there's nobody coming the right way when they turn in, they'll be ok, but they're doing it blind and end up reversing back out when a car appears going the right way. Basically they're lazy c...s cos there's usually enough spaces. The people in your case sound like they're even bigger morons.
  13. Was quite ill after the 1st, absolutely fine after the 2nd
  14. Naismith's obviously no mug, and I hope for your sake he has some decent replacements lined up. Those 8 players would imo be first team or important squad players for most, if not all, League 2 teams.
  15. Bit surprised too about the players who've left City. Given they were the second best team last season, I expected a little bit of tweaking to enhance the squad. Do any City fans know if the players were released by the club, or did they refuse the offer of new contracts (or a bit of both)?
  16. I had a kidney transplant many years ago, and had to weigh up the benefit of being vaccinated against the fact my immune system might go into overdrive and affect my transplanted kidney. Decided to get vaccinated, and have been struggling with infections from about a week after my first dose about 4 months ago. Infections can be dangerous for transplanted organs. Have since had my second dose and can't definitively say the infections were as a result of the AZ, but the timing suggests there's a good chance of a connection. Having said that, it was almost a no brainer to me to be vaccinated. The potential comparative dangers of catching Covid or losing my kidney are almost night and day. Catch Covid and my chances of survival are pretty slim. Lose a kidney and there's a potential for a fairly normal life. However, can see why some people might make the opposite decision.
  17. I heard him on the Adam Buxton podcast hut haven't read any yet. Got Remains Of The Day to read on holiday this summer. Haven't read Remains of the Day, but the film is absolute quality. I don't know that it will be an easy read, but should be worth it I would think.
  18. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. One of those books that emotionally drained me by the end. Powerful stuff.
  19. We do seem well covered in Greenhorn's position, so manager may think he's unlikely to get game time, and decide he'd be better getting game time at a decent level.
  20. Saw somewhere that the manager was looking to have Will Greenhorn and Kyle Johnston as part of the first team squad. Like yourself, I'm pleased when academy players can break through, even better if they can become first team regulars.
  21. Callum Law has just been added to the squad page, so looks like he may be the back up to Currie next season.
  22. Decent keeper imo. A bit early to say, but I think you should be safer from being club 42 this season. Wouldn't have been disappointed to have kept most of the ex Binos you've signed.
  23. Many thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
  24. Moving to us? Seems like another solid signing if so.
  25. We did play 3 at the back. This signing suggests McNiff will be the left sided of a back 3 next season as you suggest. The defence was arguably our strongest point last season. Hopefully McNiff will help us continue in that vein.
