  1. I know we're not a big club. Crowds of around the 4 -5000 mark is our level. Our board lack serious ambition and getting out of this league which looks highly unlikely would be a great achievement under their stewardship. I think we all look on jealously at the likes of Killie, St Johnstone, Hamilton and would love us to be in that position but that's just fans who love their local club wanting the best for them. Mind you the way it's going we could be a big club, in league 1 !!!
  2. What have you got against Falkirk. Killie have been at the heart of some of our most disappointing times in the past 25 years watching Falkirk but I have nothing against them. I have a Killie fan at work who is a great guy and I'm not aware of any issues between the fans ever. The 97 Cup Final, result apart was a great day with fans mingling and no hint of trouble. Is it just a personal thing?
  3. It won"t be a manager who is currently employed at another club as that would cost us money we don't have. That leaves us: Robbie Neilson Jim McIntyre David Hopkin Yogi I personally don't want Yogi as that for me is a step backwards. I would be happy to go with any of the other 3. I may be wrong but did Neilson not used to live up Lionthorn. This is all hypothetical as it would require our board to grow a pair and punt Hartley.
  4. When we were setting up for that corner I said to my mate that no one was defending the posts. Basic stuff which makes you wonder what are we doing in training.
  5. He really needs to start thinking about a change of career. There is no way he should be making a living playing professional football.
  6. Looking at the squad we now have I think it would be really difficult for a new manager to get a team capable of winning. I would go back to a 4-4-2 as that's twice I have seen us play with 3 at the back and we don't have the players capable of playing it. I can't remember in my 45 years of supporting Falkirk a squad with so many poor players. I wonder has Hartley actually seen many of them playing before. Without a good 5 or 6 signings which is never happening we are headed for League 1.
  7. The only one I would say could be decent would be Greenwood. He looks like he could do a job given a run in the team but one out of sixteen isn't a great ratio of success.
  8. The biggest worry in all this for me is we have given some of these players 2 year contracts and very few of them actually look like they could put in a decent performance. The manager is clueless but who is there that could make some of these players look decent. Its a magician we need not a fucking manager.
  9. Very true, we keep turning up game after game in decent numbers and we are being treated like mugs.
  10. Was walking home from the game so have been quiet so far. I will put myself in the happy clapper camp and admit I have been wrong. Too many of these players look way out of their depth. I am unsure if another manager could even make players out of some of them but I think it has to be worth a try.
  11. Thank f**k I am going on holiday soon and will miss the Pars game. This shit is beginning to make me hate Saturdays.
  12. And Hartley's after match interview will be done in a Mourinho style but will only last 5 seconds and will consist of one sentence - " Get it right up ye P&B doubters".
  13. Well said, if we are all positive in the stands our good vibes will get through to the players [emoji16]
  14. It's game day. Come on to f**k Falkirk give us a win. COYB
  15. 100% right, I try to be positive and give managers/players the benefit of the doubt and as much of a chance as the next fan. I was negative towards Houston at the beginning of last season and also by the end of Yogi's reign I couldn't stand the guy (not opening up this debate again). I used to go to Scotland games and I don't see Falkirk fans in the same drunken states at games as I used to see at the international games. Falkirk fans go to games because they love the club and probably have been taken to games as a kid by a parent who likewise loved the club. It's in the blood and you see the same folk week in, week out at games. The Falkirk Stadium during the winter can be the coldest place on Gods earth, you would hardly go there and watch some of the football we have been served up in the past just for a wee day out.
  16. I'm with you. I'm actually thinking about chucking the football on a Saturday and going for a wander around Grandsable Cemetery instead, surely to f**k I will be happier there.
  17. My expectations are that we at least make the play offs as I think that is where we should be aiming. I know it looks unlikely at the moment but it has been 2 league games. ICT will, I would imagine be thinking along the same lines and although they beat us there wasn't much between the teams. I just think it's way to early to be hitting the panic button.
  18. As Bairnardo says we were stinking in the first half of both games and improved in the 2nd. We were a dubious disallowed goal away from getting something against ICT and although I wasn't at Firhill we cracked the woodwork a couple of times. We got beat 1-0 and 2-1 not 5-0 and 6-0. There didn't look much between us and ICT and with a rub of the green the result could have been different. We are hardly fucking doomed !!!
  19. We haven't had a good start to our campaign and some of the players don't look up to the job but lets not down tools already folks. A lot of them are young and it's probably their first time away from home. Lets give them a wee bit more of a chance to get their acts together. A win tomorrow and a half decent display could make all the difference. Hopefully the break has given Hartley the time to realise the mistakes he has made and sort things out. If we get pumped then in a Piracy stylie you can all say f**k off Harry [emoji16]
  20. GB It comes from being surrounded by the beauty that is Grangemouth [emoji16]
  21. We will click on Saturday, beat QOS and the rest of the season will be brilliant. I can feel it in my water
  22. You get the feeling that a lot really rests on Saturday, the difference 3 points on the board could make could define how our season goes. Get pumped and we could be 5 games in and no points as I wouldn't fancy going to Dingwall and Ayr with no points. Just hope Hartley puts players in their right positions and we go for it Can't wait for Saturday, this break pish has been torture.
  23. Oh and Santa once you are done delivering our new star players could you please fill your sack with some of our duds and drop them off at EEP, that's a good chap [emoji318]
  24. Agree the commercial dept are doing a fantastic job, just a shame those that run the club aren't doing likewise.
