  1. Really feel that Lang is to us what Benedictus was to the Pars last season, he’s a calming influence in our defence and he’s formed a great partnership with big Coll, him staying fit will be key to us having any chance of winning this league. Spencer is absolute class and for me he’s probably the best player in this league and should be playing at a higher level. Ross looks really decent and is getting better the fitter he gets and the more game time he has under his belt, can we keep him please.
  2. Good luck to him, was good for us last season but was really struggling at the start of the season. If he is gone it might free up some wages to bring someone in during the January window to help with the promotion push.
  3. Starting to get a few gigs booked in for next year Depeche Mode - January OMD, Frankly the Smiths, Bunnymen - March Manics/Suede - July Thought about The Human League at the Hydro next December but it’s all seated so not sure.
  4. Normally I would totally agree with you but TFS has been a totally different beast this season, the young team have got the place rocking, a winning team has also helped, it’s a pleasure going to the football again. I shudder to think what state Brockville would have been in 20 years on. Terracing that was deemed unsafe, a wooden stand that would probably have been condemned by now as well. We didn’t want to move, the stupid 10000 seater rule forced our hand.
  5. Unless you drop the “of the South” from your name and put a Park after the Queens and get some fucker who is up there with the movers and shakers of Scottish football onto your board, otherwise you will get heehaw help like the rest of us minions.
  6. Really good interview and insight into the Academy, where it is just now and how far we still have to go. Loved how realistic Tony is about how everything relates to the first team doing well and how important finances for the first team squad are ahead of other things. It’s important we all try to do our bit, if finances allow to help the academy.
  7. I bet lots of folk either thought it or said to themselves “don’t shoot” when Coll was setting to unleash the rocket.
  8. Thought we played some fantastic football in that first half today, Alloa didn’t have an answer to our attacking play and we should have gone in at half time 5/6 up. Good crowd again but I was a bit surprised it wasn’t more, hardly an empty seat in the South and I thought the Main looked busier than it normally does.
  9. I’ve got to be honest and say that I prefer us in Navy Blue at home. I can see the logic behind wearing the heritage kit though as it’s just been launched and they want to boost sales.
  10. 31st August, 1994, my daughter was 28 days old, I was back shift and not meant to be going. Managed to convince a colleague who was nightshift to come out early for me and the Wallace Tavern bus picked me up outside my work in Grangemouth en-route to Ibrox. As it turned out it was probably one of the best nights I’ve had supporting the Bairns, when Richie scored the second everything rained down on us from the cream buns above and we didn’t give a f**k. The place emptied and we partied for what time was left. The cherry on top was passing the Grangemouth Rangers Supporters bus on the way back containing my father in law and loads of other folk I know and giving them absolute pelters. Carlsberg don’t do football away days but if they did
  11. Not sure if I’d buy it, I’ve always said I’m too old for football kits but I bought the white top this season and the fact it’s having no sponsor on it, and money is going to Strathcarron Hospice might make me get it.
  12. Where is this heritage strip that was meant to be released today prior to going on sale tomorrow
  13. Wonder what the heritage kit will look like, great to see some of the money going to Strathcarron Hospice.
  14. That’s the club confirmed the Dundee Utd cup tie will be live on Alba on Friday 17th November.
  15. Great scenes when Brad scored his goal, lovely to see fans on the terracing again.
  16. This minds me of my spell working as a Postie in Falkirk. Was delivering Mail up the Cally Park flats one day and an old lady stopped me at a door as she had received a card to go to Garrison Plc to collect a parcel. She said she was housebound, didn’t have any family and had no way of getting the parcel, she also wasn’t computer savvy. I ended up going on my phone and arranged a redelivery for her. Companies need to remember there is a generation out there who don’t deal in apps, e-tickets etc etc and if an old boy rocks up with money for a game of football, bloody let him in.
  17. Think most Falkirk fans have a lot of time for the guy, I went to school with him and a more dedicated Falkirk fan you will struggle to find, he lives and breathes the club, even though he gets a tad excited at times
  18. Thought quite a few of our players were poor today, don’t think Agyeman, Morrison, Oliver were great and even Henderson and Spencer I felt didn’t get a right grip of the game. Don’t want to be too critical though, we won, we’re undefeated and top of the league and I’m enjoying a few beers, life being a Bairn is good just now
  19. A fully fit Calvin Miller has to start for me, he is a class player. Mind you he should have played Ola in.
  20. Although we weren’t great today, it is so refreshing to watch a side that you always feel are capable of grinding out a result even when they aren’t all at it.
