  1. The wildest opportunity would be the OF disappear into an Atlantic League, or anyone that would have them, leaving their B team to take their place. Being an outsider I find this B team shit the most annoying and never ending story I've ever read. As with (loads of money ) clubs down south, run your bloody academies correctly and put youngsters into the 1st team. OR shut the f**k up
  2. Make it ALL champions get promoted to the spfl, 3 up and down would give relegated clubs the opportunity to bounce back. Guess the spfl club's don't want to linger in the wilderness and maybe lose SFA Scottish Cup money ? You don't hear much moaning from Berwick,Brechin etc now they've found their level.
  3. Brilliant amount of 'shocks' appearing on P&B, recent times show how close non lge is to Lge2 now. Guess you go part time v full time, number of leagues between clubs, lets find a different word for 'shock' maybe ? Upset sounds good.
  4. Well done Darvel kicking the big boys on the shins, lets have all champions promoted, NO play offs. spfl 2 clubs running scared and see non lge as a wilderness - an opportunity to bounce back may ease the pain. Aberdeen youngsters happy to play tippy, tappy, but way off in the physical side -grow up quick eh.
  5. Just one patch a bit wet, thought they could have started and see how it went.
  6. A better outcome would be every champion club gets promoted, in every league, but just as down south the ground grading etc rears its ugly head. Worried about the spfl club's inability to run their own reserve League, full of youngsters and older, post injured players.Always worked (mostly) in the distant past. Are all the EOS clubs happy with the pyramid so far ?
  7. Mad end to a miserable week off work : Corsham v Deal (Kent) in the FA Vase p-p around 1:15 for a 3pm k.o. Quick drive the 6 miles to Hardenhuish Park for Chippenham v Weymouth, paid £14, prog £3, burger £6, then the ref p-p it at 1:45 for a 3pm k.o, apparently a bit wet on far side.No refunds, just a voucher for the rematch.Day saved at Cirencester (further 20mls) for Hellenic Lge on the 3g : Malmesbury Vic's 2 Southam 2 after the Vic's 'Flying Monk' ground was deemed unplayable !
  8. Would like to see both LL and HL champions go straight up - no need for play offs. Expect the bottom 5 in spfl2 to be gone in 10 years, the biggest non league clubs take their place.Reward for licensing and ground improvements etc, fully deserved.
  9. Late p-p at 738pm in Gloucestershire F.A Trophy : Chipping Sodbury v Shortwood £6
  10. Well done Ranaldo, excellent, hadnt seen that info before. Think because the pyramid has grown, the anti B team has grown (rightly so) Clubs that cant be promoted, ridiculous situation.
  11. Im not a usual groundhopper, i just love the game so most times based in Glasgow so id love midweek games - public transport reliant on my holidays. Hope i get a few in February then, fingers crossed.
  12. Is that a river burst its banks, or just bad drainage problems ? Any idea how many clubs have applied for grants etc for improvements, weather definitely a big problem in Scotland - hope it's dry by mid February (selfish I know)
  13. Not just the idiotic B team farce, but have any clubs reserve teams ever been in the Scottish League before ? (During the wars I guess) Question : We have loads of money, age group teams from probably under 14 upwards, academies etc BUT we want to buy over priced clowns from overseas for immediate success , and NOT play kids in the 1st team. Are we just stupid ? (All names are purely fictitious and coincidental) many thanks, spfl members
  14. B teams in other countries isnt an argument. The uk system is built around clubs, communities, hopes of promotion etc. A pyramid now in place in Scotland means a definite progression can be achieved. If the spfl / clubs cant run a reserve league for their benefit, hard luck !
  15. Cant beat games under the lights, a different atmosphere. Despite the increased costs , a shame that midweek games are a rarity in Scotland (all levels)
  16. Good to see photos and hear about the grounds that I'd visited years ago, when I did my bulk of various leagues and grounds. Too knackered to do miles of driving, the ease of getting to and around Scotland makes it much easier. Next up to recomplete the 42 and a few more non leaguers on my travels. Next visit in February
  17. Disappointed when I went to H&Y, loved the old Hayes ground but this place is soulless, hope they've done something to the flat standing around the ground by now. Well done Crow, getting around a bit eh !
  18. Always thought that they would be better sharing with an Ebac Northern Lge and doing the ground up. Went there years ago, even with 5,000 the place would still be a poor venue.
  19. Hellenic relegation scrap at Cossham Street : Mangotsfield 2 Longlevens 2 att 231 game of two halves, Levens dominate 02 then the Field wake up to grab a fair point with goals 70, 83.
  20. Looks some bad grounds up there, real shame for the clubs involved, hope they can get some flood defences done, paid for by the council of course. Guess the didn't bounce ! Best wishes to all clubs and hope everyone mucks in with the work.
  21. Just love all the old grounds, and as most don't get near capacity, maybe most just need tweaking rather than a nasty modern rebuild. Admittedly an old stand with benches is never gonna work with plastic seats thrown in. Keep the terraces too, rows of empty seats look crap I find most grounds bearable for just 90 minutes, pillars the only annoyance. Favourites of the 42 : Ayr and Arbroath!
  22. Would hope that Rob Roy get a good deal on the ground, don't think anyone could ever buy it completely. Be a shame if others muscled their way in, and got good tenancy deals ahead of KRR. Ground looking good so far, sure there's still a fair bit to be done. Never got to their old ground sadly.
