  1. Think that's ok, Nairn probably trying to find the best level of football for its youngsters - being affordable too. In sharp contrast to the pathetic news from 'big' Celtic and the dropping of their academy. Laughable crying about finance, bigger the club, bigger the moan.
  2. That's ok then the players may live in the same house so can go ond have a knees-up in the park. Sure players can do enough running by themselves, only need the match practice/fitness before the season starts. The way the English gov is opening up everything at speed, reckon the English non LGE could restart in September with restrictions.
  3. Now that the pyramids are almost built, really can't see why any club wouldn't want to progress upwards. Build up the youth section, do the grounds up, attract new fans possibly, just give clubs a chance eh. All the clubs still exist despite leaving the historic juniors, let's get behind them.
  4. Isn't this part of the problem, almost as tho youngsters demand the money, recognition, flash cars etc without proving anything. Why is it beyond them to start in the lower leagues/divisions and work your way up to the Premier League's ? Always say that the better kids will make it through - to sit on the bench and play 10 games a season ? Seems as if they're happy with that.
  5. Correct, the 3 (promoted) clubs have done nothing wrong and have every right to defend themselves. As to being hated, by whom ? 15,000 Hearts fans and 5,000 Patrick, not exactly scary is it ? Sure all the spfl would be against Hearts rather than these 3 clubs. Or was the 'donation' cash to buy their silence ?
  6. Is this colts thing going to be discussed at any AGM or something ? or was it just based on someone hearing some gossip ? I think the promotion issue puts the idea to bed, along with being totally unfair on clubs trying to reach the pot of gold SPFL.
  7. Only my humble opinion but I'd go for all the WOSFL divisions to be 16 by 3 years, probably see a couple of clubs fall by the wayside or see the HL and LL increase numbers. Possibly some clubs won't meet the criteria, but I think the 30 game season is enough at lower levels.
  8. Surely best way is for the government to announce 'If the number of deaths, cases, hospital admissions is at such a number - then we will allow all football to resume on/by such a date' At least people will then know, and be able to plan. I'm sure there will be increases almost everywhere, couple more mass gatherings etc should do the trick. Is this a case of fear over being rational ? both of which I understand.
  9. Only trying to see a way that all the court legal crap could have been avoided, who says next season starts in August ? who says the SPL is going to be 10/12/14 teams ? No one really knows yet. Much the same as a masked crusader handing out cash as a bribe No strings of course.
  10. Couldn't the play offs be played at the same ground, behind closed doors even up to July ? Surely if the spfl announced final tables, based on any method, and announced play offs, then what's the point of club's crying ?
  11. Guess if the spfl was being logical - season ends on PPG, the top sides promoted - with the bottom side playing off v the side 2nd in the lge below. All they had to do was a blanket decision across all leagues, no arguing then. Sure someone would be against such an idea !
  12. Maybe the judge will take a look at the fraudulent use of Football Club after the Hearts name, never known such a drawn out saga. IF clubs had voted to end the season using whatever method, then that's all folks. IF clubs voted to pause the season, that's different altogether. Judge says ' on the evidence before me,I firmly believe that Hearts would have won every game to be played'
  13. Could that be a 'pro junior' chap talking crap again, just let it go eh. Think a 20 team division with 38 games & cups would be difficult to complete in a normal winter - aiming for a 16 with a few early season evening k.o games thrown in,looks possible. Think the SFA should take most of the blame over the conference's, their ineptitude shines brightly.
  14. Every club would love some sort of cash injection, obviously where that money comes from IS a problem but you don't hear many moans about Saudi,Chinese or Russian money (all earnt legally of course) Let some bloke spend his cash, at least the ground will look nice - even if they don't win anything !
  15. Would there be any danger of the 21/22 spfl season not happening ? Court cases go on for ages, rarity of clubs possible expulsion, then the need to rebuild squads etc. Then it sounds like some clubs want to mothball the season, maybe a much smaller version of the league? Would be a strange one, similar to after the wars I guess.
  16. If only the ex juniors could find a rich benefactor to cover the costs of testing etc - then the clubs could concentrate on getting the grounds safe for players and fans. Hopefully the government can look after the grassroots game (more important than the spfl) and let the big boys continue to complain. As usual in the UK things take so long to get anywhere, more concerned about the economy/money than saving lives.
  17. Any chance the court cases could be on TV , bit like the usual crap shown on daytime tv. Sure the American audience would like to see our justice system at work. Bit like trying to prove a mass murderer is really innocent I guess.
  18. When will people realise and understand why clubs and fans are crying - IF the season had been allowed to finish, then ALL the team's at the bottom WOULD have turned a miraculous corner and STAYED UP ! That's why we have to go to the court of Human rights, someone please help we beg you, we are desperate. Almost like a boring charity case. Players out of contract WOULD have played for nothing, I know they would. Season over. GIVE UP !
  19. Very tidy indeed, not very social distanced though ! Keep up the good work
  20. Be interesting if/when the English government make some statements about grassroots sport returning - they only care about the so called 'elite' at the moment. What do the clubs feel, are they worried about testing or the whole return ? I don't get to hear, read much from the clubs themselves. Hopefully the WOSFL will get going asap, and we can all agree the move to Senior was the right decision.
  21. Bizarrely tales of ground visits due to - it's now a 3g pitch/ they moved the actual pitch / club changed name etc etc. They make all the effort and write everything down (seen them argue over goal times) and then miss the last 20 mins coz they got to get the last train ! See them with their loaded bags makes you think they've left home !
  22. Quite right, some of their 'rules' make them obsession beyond belief. I just enjoy visiting the area, having a few pints in pubs/clubhouse, meeting fans and enjoying a game. Can't go for all that writing down bollocks, beyond me. Knew one nutcase who went to a rearranged game - then had to go back again,to get an original programme. Or up in Seaham (nth east) grndhopper said I've ordered 10 progs, man on gate said we only print 25 now f**k off
  23. Watched a few reserve games last couple of years, sterile tippy tappy rubbish - obviously trained that way to feed into their 1st teams. Any colts or res sides would soon grumble about over zealous tackling etc. If the Reserve lge isn't doing its job, I partially blame the clubs. As with in England, reserve teams usually only last a couple of seasons before pulling out for 'financial' reasons.
  24. Not having the details,I'd guess that a large number of over 60's have been affected-or have sadly died. The tests seem to be unclear, results not guaranteed. We have to manage the disease and get back to some normality - one thought of the Premier Lge of people being tested,48hr before a game, then are given a 'green card', (£30 I think) so they may buy a ticket, etc etc. Is that really worth bothering with ?
  25. If they have the biggest budget in the Championship, with possibly the biggest crowds - surely everyone will be out to get them, as is normal. Hopefully they hit the ground running or it could be a difficult season, are there guarantee',s that the money will be available following relegation ?
