Admittedly the Hoppers raise the crowds at one - off games, and yes they seem to demand everything has to be done for them (they forget most clubs use volunteers) Think the block ticket for all games is the best way - no way the regular fans should get fleeced. Thankfully I steer clear of such events, prefer doing my own thing. Well done to all clubs this weekend

Glos County League: Patchway 3 Wick 1 att 45. Good display by the young hosts, growing confidence among the players. Two quickfire goals in 2nd half sealed the win, although Wick had plenty of chances but couldn't take any. (Patchway black and white stripes) New community pavilion built, with cafe etc, progressing slowly.

Me and @tamthebam were at the other side of that group. I may have spoke to you briefly in the que at the pie hatch before the game unless there were any English guys there.
In the presence of P&B legends then - think I spoke to a few people, some accents I could understand, pies were my priority at that time
Will approach you all if we meet again. Imagine I was the only English bloke there !

Alright big man, you can go in goals. And if you wear the boots with the coloured heels it'll make you look even taller.
Well in my playing days (1980' onwards) I'm sure anyone with yellow boots would either be a) crap b) be tormented in the dressing rooms or 3) an ideal target for a flying challenge

All at Parties Road, look above the guy with blue woolly hat and I am the one on the right as you look - few hoppers next to me I believe. Famous names on P&B eh ?

Week ends back at Paties Road : Edinburgh South 0 Luncarty 4 early pen hits post for visitors, defender tries to be clever in box well done 01 then another pen 02 header in 6 yard box 03 and f.kick curled round wall 04. Probs 40 att, decent steak pie. Coming back April, see ya soon, cant wait.

Wondered why he got the red,and why the bloke went straight down. A scrappy affair with a (possible) fluke goal the difference. Stenny in control until the last few scares-pen shout and flick into gk hands.Bonnyrigg lacked a target up front to give them a chance, whilst Stenny played some decent stuff at times. Excellent att and nice pint in the social.

Masterton, sounds another rich, im so clever and above everyone moron / family. His daughter sounds a real catch
At least you can trust the council eh. Can only imagine the lease club's sign. Check the small print. Hope things work out.

Guessing that its fairly easy to get from Eskbank to the ground ? Giving myself enough time, mate back in Bristol a Stenny fan so im hoping it goes well. Only seen highlights this season mainly.

Meadowbank pitches run parallel ? Out of Holm Park : Yoker 6 G.Perthshire 1 ft att around 100. Perth waste an early pen (wide) go 20 down, get back in 21 by ht. Early goal 31 then gk spills the ball, thanks 41. They kept trying but didnt create, only to get caught on the break twice. Yoker kept the ball and moved well.

Just needs the cage to be set back down one side, so that any pre-built terrace and seating can be dropped in - not literally. Have been to many cages, but some look like actual grounds. Hopefully the club gets a good lease, can make £ on matchday etc. Who will actually own it ?

Also at Broxburn yesterday, straightforward enough, the pies and sausage rolls excellent, nice ground. The VOL kept going to their credit, don't know where they find their level tbh. Some good stuff at times, why are Brox not higher up the league ? At Ravenscraig today for Motherwell Albion v Glasgow Irish 7-0 (Lge) and then Motherwell Villa v Maryhill Black Star 0-5 (west cup) Maryhill goal flying in !

Typical holiday weather lol.
Did you try the pies?
Yeah pies and sausage rolls were excellent, good programme, and interesting history stuff. Played decent stuff, surprised youre not higher up the table.

My holiday begins at Albyn Park, the speed and movement, along with some good finishing was enough for Brox. Fair play to VOL who kept going, maybe their level is the division below - where possibly their mistakes wont get punished so often. Nice set up and a decent pint in the bowls club too.

Think the biggest problems are, good amateurs probably play mainly local teams - with players who are happy to do so. Go upwards and suddenly you may have extra travelling/costs with players who maybe working Sat morning's etc. Guess the higher up the league's, the pool of available players gets smaller. Maybe why club's don't look towards the EOS.
