Yeah, he was there a month and played 4 games to be fair. He didn't leave Irish football until January. Manager has worked with him before and presumably knows what he's getting.

Yeah that's what I was going to say about him. Means nothing where they came from. It's a new season, new team, hopefully they hit the ground running. Tommy was only playing Sunday league 2 and a half year ago!

Well that's not what article shows. It shows the club the player is joining cancelling it jot the club the player was leaving - which I asked about.

You seemed shocked that a contract agreement can be broken. So I sent you a link to the first one that came to my head. No need to be a d*ck about it.

Livingston wanted to make sure they had Dykes for the following season Pre-contract deals can be broken by both parties, This was the best option for all parties involved. Queens definitely got a good deal out of it.. Would be great if we could sign a couple of young players with potential and the same could happen to them, clubs like Hamilton have benifited from this for years.

How can a pre contract be broken? If a club wanted to retain a player who has signed a pre contract to leave they can, is that what you are saying?

    Yes.

'Contributing to over 40 goals' in terms of actual goals and actual assists or just a made up statistic to pretend that you had a top-class strike partnership going on while battling against the mighty Montrose just to stay in this rancid division? It's definitely the latter.

I've got no idea why you're celebrating a 'record transfer fee' as an accomplishment for your club considering it was based entirely on what he did at Livingston. It's certainly a big windfall to gain right now but claiming it as some sort of final act of generosity from your club legend player is cringeworthy to say the least.

Considering one of those strikers scored 43 actual goals that season, it's hardly a made up stat.

  5. Lyndon being sold for £2m+ is nothing but fantastic news for the club at this time. Happier times at Palmerston again?

The bit that interested me most was in the Club's statement. Sell on fee must be higher than 10% or do we get a percentage of the add-ons as well?

"Although he is being transferred from Livingston, the deal has the potential of being a new club record for us.  It currently stands at quarter of a million pounds set when Andy Thomson moved from Palmerston to Southend United in 1994."

Nothing is official until it’s on the official websites and like I’ve already said the manager is still on furlough so we can’t sign anyone. That will most likely change when he returns later this month.

    I know that.

I was politely telling Brother Grimm that nothing has been announced yet. Maybe he'll tell us why he's so sure.

The Club's official Twitter? Seems unlikely.

Sorry, should have been clearer. No it wasn't the official Twitter account. One his his pals had congratulated him on it then took  it down. Maybe just a wind up if they seen the recent posts on here, maybe true but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Have you seen him play much SD? If so what do you make of him? Similar to Lyndon?

  8. I get everyone's point but if the prices are going up by 22% then that must mean we're not making or saving enough money in other areas. I did see there was an anonymous donation of £500 to the tanner fund so well done that person. If for the sake of an extra £4 means we stay full time, stay in the championship and the club doesn't nose dive financially then it's not much to ask. I've bought my season ticket without any hope of making a single game. The product may have been poor the past couple of seasons but an extra £4 twice a month to see Dobbie in his final season is more than worth it.
