  1. Yeah I get it. And that’s kind of my point. Just because I’ve said Hearts have released the statement to appease faux offended supporters doesn’t mean I am claiming Rangers haven’t done so in the past or won’t do so in the future.
  2. I find the whole “if it was your club it would be the same” argument rather tedious. If fans couldn’t comment or poke fun at something in fear that one day it might be their club in a hypothetical situation then it would be a pretty sad and quiet existence on this thread.
  3. Vandalism It happened in 2022 as well and nobody batted an eyelid. Hearts caving to issue a statement to appease faux offended supporters.
  4. I think the issue is that Hearts believe we have “defaced” their club crest. A removable vinyl badge has left it in a state of disrepair. Thoughts and prayers.
  5. I never said Souttar wasn’t bad, I haven’t even seen it. I even mentioned that by all accounts he had a shocker. My comment was aimed more at the vastly wild takes I am seeing for players such as Shankland and Porteous, as the opinion of their performance seems to vary drastically dependant on what team someone supports. I’ve no idea whether they were good or bad judging by the online comments.
  6. Aye. I never seen it but by all accounts he had a nuke.
  7. Never got to see this last night but it sounds like we actually played well despite the scoreline just some calamitous defending being the difference. It still irks though that we seem to have a rather wide issue of club allegiances dictating who finds themselves in the firing line while on international duty. You have some folk saying Shankland played well with others saying his performance proves he isn’t international class. Similarly you have some saying Porteous was decent and others lambasting him. You can rarely get an objective evaluation or consensus when it comes to our team.
  8. From the outside looking in, there appears to be only two realistic reasons for limiting the allocation. The first is they've spat the dummy over the social media stuff already pointed out. The second is they are doing it to gain a competitive edge by increasing their home advantage. I think this is what people are getting at when they are alluding to Utd running scared. Either of these reasons to limit the away attendance are pretty tinpot.
  9. Aye, which is fair. I just feel that if it gets pointed out to the clubs that they failed to consult fans on the matter the first time round and we're not happy about it, then they may think twice about ignoring us in the future regarding the matter. Though, they probably wont.
  10. Any good business should listen to it's consumers. While you may be right that fans might've voted in favour of VAR, for the vast majority of supports, we just don't know because there was no consultation. Now that VAR has been in place and had ample time to bed-in and address any "teething problems", the clubs should be taking note of their supporters opinions. Even if a majority of fans had been in favour of implementing VAR, they still reserve the right to change their opinion given the issues that are so clearly evident. I think raising the point about lack of supporter consultation is a valid one because it builds pressure on clubs to get the opinions of their support NOW, even if they didn't do it prior to VAR's introductions and even if they believed fans would've voted in favour for it at the time.
  11. At the risk of repeating myself, this kind of action will require the majority of clubs to vote in favour of strict liability. I believe the SFA have invited Hibs’ thoughts on the matter after their recent statement and they are open to looking at it.
  12. Unless I’ve missed it, but what has he said about Celtic?
  13. I think it’s clearly a mixture of it all. There’s quite a prominent tweet that went around showing a lot of abuse directed towards Abada online from Celtic fans. To deny it happened is disingenuous but that is quite clearly just one small contributing factor I’d imagine. So aye, the way it’s been worded is probably accurate; Celtic fans’ visible support of Palestine likely wasn’t of any major significance, but the targeted online abuse probably was.
  14. It’s a strange old day on social media where Rangers and Celtic fans both feel that this decision somehow benefits the other side.
  15. Just watch some in our support claim the rescheduled fixture the midweek before we face Celtic is a conspiracy to give them more preparation time than us.
  16. Well I, for one, am glad they are taking some time about it to allow themselves to spellcheck it and get the thesaurus out to ensure their statement is concomitant with the underlying issues.
  17. Unless I’m being naive, but I’m assuming the further comment will be regarding the necessity of having to wait for the match ref to carry out a further inspection an hour after the original. Or alternatively to provide details about the rearranged fixture date.
  18. Well, as early as possible. I’m assuming a 09:15 inspection was the earliest they could get one at as it normally seems to be the set time for them.
