On another note I didn't realise that the south stand had already sold out for the Alloa game (in 2 months time!) so I got on this afternoon and bought 3 tickets for the main stand - looks like they are going fast too as I couldn't get any of the tickets in the seats I normally buy and had to settle for elsewhere. What a time to be alive...

I had to do the same thing. Been in the KM stand all season but had to buy tickets for the family section of the main stand to keep my son close to the singing section.

On a related point, does anybody know if u12 season tickets can be bought for the KM stand? Couldn't see anything about this for this season but I'd love to get one for my son for next season when I go for my own

  2. Good news that the KM7 is as good as sold out for the final 4 home games of the season with the Alloa game being sold out. I've had to buy tickets for the main stand for the Alloa game but will there be any chance that the North Stand has to be opened for home fans as well?

To be honest I wouldn't mind Finn staying but if he's away we should be due a development fee of a few hundred thousand you would think which could be enough to make sure the club is confident in it's finances in our first season up and allow us to recruit fairly freely.

Wouldn't be the end of the world and I'm sure we would be able to pick up a stable championship level right back to fill the slot.

To be fair I don't really know anything about the rules. I just remember us getting a fortune for Mark Stewart. If we only get something like 50k that's obviously shit.

It is a calculation based on his current salary

The difference between Mark Stewart and Finn Yeats is we had Stewart for 4 or 5 years before we sold him, we've had Finn for 2.

Mark Stewart scored goals in the Premiership and Championship, played in a Scottish Cup Final.

We would get about 10k for Yeats

I am over the moon with the position we are in right now.  I am a carer for my disabled partner so hardly ever get out, so my love for Falkirk takes on an even greater importance in my life as I don't have much else going on.

Does anyone else find this a bit strange - Like I said I am very happy right now with how things are going, but, and it's a tiny but, I does'nt appear we are playing very well recently while still managing to rack up the points at an unprecidented rate.  I am not complaining, I just find it weird, it's as if, for once in our history, lady luck keeps delivering for us time and time again.   This is not meant to happen to us :)

It's all about grinding it out now, everybody except Edinburgh has something to play for.

The players will be tiring now as well and some will be playing with injuries. Most won't have been in this position in their careers either. I don't care if we win the next three games 1-0, just need the job done, take the pressure off

Guy beside us was slagging McIvor before he was even on the pitch 🤷‍♂️

There was a guy behind me slagging Hendo and MacIver at I think the 2-1 Edinburgh game saying they were the weak links in the team and he couldn't wait until we got 'proper' players in to replace them next season. I loved roaring at him when MacIver scored the second that game!

There was a roaster last week v Annan having a go at MacIver (might have been the same guy) telling him to "just put the ball in the fuckin net, that's 5  fuckin chances" when he put a header over the bar in the first half but he quickly shut up when a number of folk pointed out that he was offside anyway. Not a peep heard from him when others missed chances.

Sometimes players and the team can be victims of their own success but we definitely have a number of utter p***ks in the fanbase

Leave it, leave it, leave it, guy steadfastly refuses to leave it, ehhh, scrum.

"I was playing advantage". Where's the advantage when the ball's stuck under bodies?

    We've been absolutely muck today

  7. As much as I agree with the plan b thinking, hopefully next season in the Championship will see teams being more open trying to win games instead of setting up to frustrate and nick a point which would then give our own players more space to play. Though I would also think it will be harder to score if we did concede first.

It was obvious v Annan that they were happy to concede the wide areas and head away crosses all day, our goal came from a ball through the middle.

On another note, now that Tam Lang missed the Cove game am I right in thinking Captain Coll is the only player to play every minute of every game so far this season? If so, that's outstanding considering he had some suspensions last season, the captaincy must be focusing his game more

All you need to do is stop fyvie most things good from us come from him. struggled to beat Annan and Edinburgh wasn't convincing so should be an easy enough game for you.

Given Fyvie has been out for a while, is he fit enough for two games in 4 days?

We should have been out of sight after 5 minutes but that has nothing to do with the ongoing goalkeeping nonsense.

No amount of whataboutery excuses that.

Its a team game, there were faults all over the shop. Some of the players thought the game was won and were sloppy in possession.

To blame the draw on Long only is harsh. Yes he f*cked up but he wasn't the only one.

    1 hour ago, BPM said:

It is not whataboutery at all. These guys all made mistakes, Long makes one and it’s all his fault. I think the players locked in the dressing room till 5.50 says it all

    This

  10. Watched the highlights this morning and it's definitely a howler from Long. Thought it at the time and confirmed on the highlights. Ultimately, keeper mistakes do tend to result in goals being lost, that happens all over the world and there are far better experienced international keepers who concede goals as a result of mistakes they make.

But how many chances to score did we need?

If you look at the performances of the keepers this season it's clear that both come in make mistakes and then settle down after a few weeks and their performances improve markedly. Long starter the season very shakily but was then outstanding before getting injured . Nicky came in struggled a wee bit but then started getting far more consistent  before being taken out the team after a couple of clean sheets. Same with Nicky recently culminating in an motm performance against kelty. Chopping and changing no matter how a keeper is performing is just utter nonsense. Pick one and stick with him . To me Hogarth is our keeper and had the position he should've been in that post till the end of the season or a poor drop in form. Talking him out after a motm performance is just laughable.  If it pisses off Lincoln city then who cares. Far more important to the club that we get promotion tied up and that the keeper who may be with us next season gets a decent run in the side to try and win a contract as one of our two keepers next season. As someone said giving them a month each is feckin amateur football type stuff.

If we can all see and think it...

  12. 5 hours ago, Reggie Perrin said:

In which case we should have thanked Long for his efforts and wished him a safe journey back to Lincoln.

Absolutely, we shouldn't be dictated to by a young player at the start if their career or his parent club.

Unless the club are contractually obliged in other ways (payment of monthly/weekly rent for him until the end of the season is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head) then the money we are paying for Long could have been used towards another keeper

  13. One thing we all need to remember is every team in the league is now playing for something come the end of the season. Most games are going to mean something for each team. Getting points in the bag is far more important than scoring 3/4/5 goals each game.

Need to stick together and see this over the line.

I might have picked this up wrong but did he say it was contractual in his post match interview? None of them ultimately are the best in the world and we need better next season but to have to play one over the other regardless of culpability exhibit A today is bonkers at this stage.

He didn't say it was contractual but he makes a comment that we could have lost Long in January so he sat down with both goalies and agreed to the monthly rotation. Either Long has asked to leave in January because of game time or Lincoln have been in touch and requested Long be given more game time.

  15. As others have said, a very strange decision by McGlynn to rotate the keepers. Hogarth had the jersey, has a blinder last week and wins man of the match yet gets "rotated" this week? There's not much difference between them for me but Hogarth had kept two clean sheets back to back so deserved to stay in goal.

On today's game, we could easily have been 3 or 4 up in the opening 20 minutes. Thought Annan were happy to let us have the ball out wide, let us fire crosses in and head them away. Going through the middle wasn't really on either.

Thought we got a bit of luck for our goal, couldn't really see what happened but looked a goalie error.

Like most people around me, we could all see what happened at the end coming in the last 10 minutes. Defending seemed at times to be a but rushed and lacking composure and as a team I thought a number of players looked sluggish and tired.

Long never looked like winning the high ball as he had a standing jump and no momentum before going up.

I'm not going to be critical of Long for that error on the basis that keeper errors do usually result in loss of a goal which is why they get highlighted as much, happens at every level.

Let's put today down as a bad day and move on but get the booing at the end in the bin.

I'm just saying we have a top squad who are playing for a team steeped in recent top flight history.

Your squad is weaker and is clearly creaking and tiring with the weight of 5 years of league 1 on them.

    That's a definite crash today.

By all accounts what I've heard is your crowds were down today too and the young team quiet seems like a club in trouble.

What's the thoughts on Rankin this week? You'll still be wanting him to stay to lead this "best squad" to the title before you sign our three best players in the summer?

Based on their first 26 games of the season at a points per game ratio of 1.88 (their form is much worse over more recent games), Hamilton will now finish around the 68 point mark.

If we beat Annan on Saturday we will be on 68 points. Theoretically if we win on Saturday we probably wouldn't need to play our last 10 games and still win the league.

In reality, I still think it is most likely to be around the end of March we can officially win this, probably around the home to Edinburgh game on the 23rd, obviously depends on results for both sides between now and then. As an example, despite their poor form I can't see Hamilton losing to Edinburgh at home on the 9th March and we have some tricky away ties in March so I think all things being equal it will be late March, but you never know.

Didn't Edinburgh beat Hamilton at NDP earlier in the season?

Anyway, I've got my tickets for the Edinburgh game on 23rd March. My son's pal is a mascot that day so hoping there's a right good party atmosphere that day

It could be bouncing at the first home game after anyway, kinda like a homecoming 👏🏻 💰💵

The last game vs Alloa, would the club consider splitting the North Stand, to allow more Falkirk fans in to maximise the crowd.

I wondered this as well. I sat in there in the game v QotS years ago and there was not even a hint of any bother.
