  1. Looks a good choice, great to see Bomber back. Hope he can get a keeper in asap.
  2. Heard Danny Lennon is the front runner for Ochilview.
  3. And yet Sturgeon still thinks that Humza Yousaf is on top of this and dealing with it. This needs Parliament recalled and all ideas thrashed out.
  4. Good luck - make sure you save the penalty then break upfield and win the game!
  5. Used to do a cracking steal mince pie but then at the same time you had Fishers who had a supreme chicken pie which was only available on a Friday and Saturday.
  6. That is my fear as well - a couple of wins and he will get the job. We have went in-house/cheap option far too often in the past. We need someone with experience in asap. As Hard Graft said the sound of silence is deafening, stop treating us like idiots. If you are waiting to see how Crighton does then tell us that.
  7. The NHS in Scotland is managed by the Scottish Government and the majority of NHS Scotland provision is paid for through taxation. This means that, if you are employed or self-employed in Scotland you are entitled to free healthcare from the NHS – as well as your spouse and your immediate family. Responsibility for the National Health Services in Scotland is a devolved matter and therefore rests with the Scottish Government. Legislation about the NHS is made by the Scottish Parliament. The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing has ministerial responsibility in the Scottish Cabinet for the NHS in Scotland. Blaming the pandemic - is that not the SNP response to anything that is wrong in Scotland? In any case my 90yr old mother is so glad that it is the SNP and not the Tories who are responsible for the NHS in Scotland. In extreme pain she waited for 9 hrs in Casualty at the weekend but was comforted by the knowledge that Sturgeon constantly repeats "We are better than other parts of the UK". That really eased her pain.
  8. I would be very surprised if he is found guilty of murder. There has to be intent to murder and in this case it would appear to have been a horrific accident. His intent would have been to kill the man he was after and not the innocent child. He will probably, if convicted, be done with Culpable Homocide but should still receive a lengthy sentence.
  9. Mother in Law got letter from SSEB or whoever they are now stating that her meter needs changed as it is over 15 years old and may not be accurate. Never heard of this before, has anyone else come across this?
  10. Bad choice of words, - by that I meant that we were all excited by the choice of Swift as he was a breath of fresh air coming into the club, hopefully with new ideas etc. Cheap should have been easy option. If you look at our signing record in the past, Colin McMenamen, Davy Irons, Brown Ferguson, Martyn Corrigan, Jim Black, Graeme Armstrong, Des Mckeown, Tony Smith, to mention a few, it generally reflects someone who has a connection with the club. Whether or not the idea is that they will know the club's ethos etc.
  11. Possible one of the worst ever heats that I have seen. Jimmy Bullard was the only one who appeared to know what he was doing.
  12. Thought that we might have got a result last night, that there might have been a reaction from those not getting a regular game and from those who have given us poor performances. Obviously this was not the case and it would now appear that either he has lost the dressing room or the players are incapable of carrying out his instructions and cannot perform at this level. Either way the alarm bells are ringing, and truth be told have been ringing for a while, and now is the time for the board to act. It may seem harsh but I would have him out the door tomorrow night and put Bryson? in charge for the next few games. We may lose the games with a temporary manager but Swift has shown that it is unlikely we will win games with him in charge and we can no longer continue like this. The board then need to take a long hard look at their selection process. Do not do it on the cheap again by signing an insider, take time and ensure that at least someone competent and with a decent record is appointed.
  13. Did not bother Scottish Government when they were trying to decimate the Entertainment and Hospitality industry to prove they were better than England.
  14. He did turn the team round after 1 win in 9 games but also blew it in the last few games with draws to Edinburgh City and Cowdenbeath and the loss to Stranraer. I can see the arguments both you and Hard Graft are putting up and it is a hard one to call. If we wait to November then we are basically saying it is going to be another nothing season. An early change may or may not result in us challenging for promotion. Difficult to call but at least the board are sending out a warning. Time for him to stop worrying about the opposition and really go for them. On Saturday when we were 2 goals down the game was lost, I would rather see him saying lets go all out attack, if we lose a few more goals so be it but let's try and give the crowd something to get excited about. Problem with that is our play is so slow and ponderous and when in the last season have we put team under prolonged pressure. I would also like to know who is recommending our goalkeepers and what they see in them.
  15. And yet Swift decided the best option was to substitute Yeats and leave Walker on the park.
  16. Sorry to hear this - hope he did not suffer too much. Best wishes to you.
  17. Bryson is an enigma at this time so much expected and so little delivered. I think Swift is living in the hope that he will turn it on. Forbes looks to be overweight and is lumbering about the park and should be no where near the team at the moment. The midfield selection is not a settled unit. Playing it out from the back is not working at this time, Swift must be able to see that but does he have a plan B? In O'Reilly we have one of the most exciting players in the league but Swift will not start him. Why? We had a horrendous first quarter last year, if we have the same this year then it is time to show him the door. We all had high hopes for the season, the squad looked impressive on paper but so far we have been served up a load of garbage. We played relatively well in the cup games and I think we all thought we are on the right track. Is it the case that there were no expectations or pressures on the team to do well in these games but it is different when it comes to the league. Is Swift sending the right message to the players? We really need a massive performance on Saturday and not a one of either, it must kick us on.
  18. Only the middle of August and Klondyke at Grangemouth have started putting up their Xmas Trees. Unbelievable.
  19. Stats from BBC at start of second half - looks like a circus at this time. At least he has used subs at half time. Possession Home 48% Away 52% Shots Home 12 Away 4 Shots on Target Home 5 Away 1 Corners Home 8 Away 0 Fouls Home 12 Away 4
  20. Many thanks have passed this on to my daughter.
  21. many thanks have a great birthday
  22. Many thanks to all who have replied - you have been a great help. thanks
  23. 8 yr old grand-daughter has just been diagnosed as being autistic and waiting on further results if she has ADHD or learning disability. News was a kick in the balls and finding it hard to get the head round. She was born very premature and had a slight bleed on the brain but seemed normal. Knew there was some degree of difficulty in her concentrating in the class room. Concerns were raised and a private assessment has confirmed she is autistic and may be medium in the spectrum. Have no idea what her future may hold although she may need to go to specialist learning. She holds conversations etc well as far as we can see and appears bright enough, although there are issues with her eating lots of different food. Really have no idea what all of this means. Anyone with any similar knowledge or advice would be gratefully received.
