I think the likes of Barrowman and there will undoubtedly be others who go unmentioned working at the club who did a power of work in the summer. Morton was the first league game at home and the crowd was a lot higher than it typically would have been for a game at the end of the sumer holidays. This was well before we were the last minute dot com specialists we've become. So people had bought into the new regime and it was nothing to do with performances on the park. Look at the sponsor page in the programme its absomutly rammed, we've had to build bigger advertising boards next to the dug outs, hospitality is rammed every week. So he's earning his corn in tears of engagement and generating income.

He's going to tumble down the leagues now isn't he. Wonder if it's him giving it billy big baws or his pushy parents chipping in again. Was a real disappointment when he was sold last minute might have been a shrewd move of we actually got paid for him.

That is a disappointment I had hoped we could develop him especially with his pace.

Masson's development has suffered due to timing and the fact he is a defender. Last season we were on our arse for players so he got a few opportunities. This season we are overflowing with midfielders and forwards but defence has been the weakest part of the squad. As such we haven't fielded a consistent defence all season due to injuries and suspensions. This has left Masson in the squad as cover and hasn't afforded him the opportunity to go on loan like Arnott, Mitchell or McNeil have. Is he a championship level player at the minute, No. Does he have the potential to get to that level, maybe? Does he need to play football, absolutely and in different circumstances he would off on loan to a lower professional league team or south/highland league.

I think he'll be a one club man now. Those 4 injuries despite his recovery and his form must still put the shiters up any prospective suitors. How far off a landmark is he ie: a significant number of appearances or where does he stand in the top goals scorers of all time?

I would expect it'll be a strong Dundee team today, so it should be mildly competitive. They have even worse issues with their park than the pars and haven't played all that many games recently. For me we dont risk anyone who is even remotely at risk for the scottish cup game five then another week to recover.

I'll give it a whirl. Next week should be used to play "fringe players" so they get some game time. There's little point having all these great options in the squad if all they're going to get is 10 minutes here and there. Equally some of the regular starters would benefit from spectating.
