  1. Mr Murray's post match interview is out and he no happy. We were short in midfield today so we realistically should have put McGill or Matthews in there. Even if we only got an hour out of him starting or half an hour off the bench it might have been enough to see out the game. Vaughan can't play that deep and for me Smith has been off it lately despite his great start to the season. That wonder goal should never have happened regardless if he's a sub goalie you do not give anyone that much time and space on the ball to even try it We should have targeted him as their weakest link instead we were complacent and just let him wander about, after that we just shat the bed and invited pressure. Fair fucks to Arbroath for digging that out.
  2. The issue with Byrne is that Dundee may recall to him to try and get a fee for him now before his contract expires in the summer. If we hold out it could knacker us in January.
  3. That's our safety net gone now, United win that game in hand we are nowhere near their goal difference. The only saving grace is we are still unbeaten at home. 2 shit shows in defence in 2 weeks.
  4. This is where it will fall down, I'm sure there's a bus that will get you to Fife just as a contingency. Enjoy your day and hopefully another win to see out the year
  5. Right I have a provisional 14 just debating the last place.
  6. In the vain of that German lad with the whip can we get some kind of half time rodeo in his honour
  7. Murray said this in an interview that it's tricky to balance keeping guys in the squad for cover and letting them go on loan to get games. Defence has been far and away the weakest part of our team and I don't think we've played the same defence for 3 games in a row this season (although I'm probably exagerating on that) but I'd say Masson and Hannah would be prime for loaning out. Neither is getting any game time and the latter is not ready yet to be chucked into a competitive run in. If we don't keep O'Reilly, I'd move Dick to CB he was really exposed against Ayr (insert Kenneth gif) and look for a more mobile option there. In terms of others Scott McGill seems to have disappeared, woth the uncertainty around Byrne and Matthews still coming back you'd think he would get minutes in midfield?
  8. Reads to me that O'Reilly unlikely to be staying and we'll be looking to spend the wage elsewhere. Either a fast full back or a winger but who knows
  9. Kirk Douglas was a long time troller of the dead pool, by the time he went he was worth about 5 points
  10. I don't think he's stressed though he seems to have a split personality he's quite cute and playful but other times he comes in and just goes for you for no reason at all. I suppose its a bit like living woth a violent husband who puts on a facade of being a great guy then just turns.
  11. I think with Vaughan if he keeps scoring and playing the way he is he will have interest. I think he will stay with us if we go up. If we don't he may well look at the offers he has but I don't think he'd go to the likes of say Livingston if they stayed up. If someone like Hibs came along it's probably too good an opportunity for him to turn down. Look whatever happens he is and always will be a genuine club legend, we have been incredibly loyal but he has given us some unforgettable memories in return.
  12. After doing some hard physical graft on a blazing hot day, that first pint is immense.
  13. Yeah 4 actual defenders for this as well will need Brown back in midfield. Don't know what the deal is with O'Reilly if he'll stay on after January?
  14. His baws have well and truely been decommissioned. The catman video suggests he either needs lots more stimulation than we are giving him (and he gets a lot) or he's just mental. Might speak to the vet and see what they reckon.
  15. Does anyone have experience with a cat that keeps attacking people? Our cat was a bit bitey when we first got him, however that calmed down after a couple of weeks when we let him go out. Sadly it has returned with a vengeance. He is now attacking at least one of us on an almost daily basis without any provocation and the other day he went into a neighbours house and went for the guy who lives there. We have tried spraying him with water, hitting the floor near him with a rolled up magazine to make a loud noise and throwing him out the house every time he does it but nothing is working. I have 2 kids and as sad as they would be for him to go back to the shelter I'm not having them being afraid to walk into their own house because the cat is viscious.
  16. Final countdown to submission now, there's always a couple of notable daths between now and the bells
  17. 300,000 views in Twitter so far, nit quite Dick extension levels yet but some going.
  18. That's a big statement of intent from the club and Murray.
  19. Might depend, I think Millen played a match before his ban but I can't remember.
  20. I think last night was a combination of factors. 1. We just looked a bit slack and lethargic from the first whistle. 2. Ayr had us worked out and their wide players caused havoc all night. 3. Smith was the wrong change for Stanton and just wasn't effective. 4. Our defence as a collective had a shocker we didn't close people down and I'm going to include Byrne in this who had his worst game for us. 5. Big Kev was suspect for the first goal but f**k me the 4th will haunt him. That said we've come back when we shouldn't have, (yet again) Lewis got a hattrick, it was great entertainment, a great turnout for a night game just before Christmas and United haven't gained any ground. Murray and his team will work on this and I think we will see a very different performance against Arbroath.
