  1. I cant remeber exactly how it was phrased, but it was along the lines of there is an offer on the table but i dont think hes even looked at it.
  2. Also as a side note reading between the lines on it looks like Lang will be away which means major surgery on the defence which is probably no bad thing.
  3. I was at that game, 80 yards from it and still saw more than the referee.
  4. Not this week but it is essential listening. Saturday sport show. Interesting/terrifying AGM through the week and essentially confirming a lot of the speculation on the takeover/investment.
  5. If Luton go up it could ruin them, if they chase the dream. They need to spend millions to make Kennilworth Road usable as a ground even for a couple of seasons, the place is an absolute shit hole of a ground. It has a second hand wooden main stand that you'd question using as firewood, the away end involves a bird's-eye view of the neighbours garden and the ground itself is based in an area of the town best described by estate agents as "in need of some TLC" They have grand plans for power court (a disused industrial park in the centre of the town that they have bought up) however it seems to be dragging on at a glacial pace despite it being in absolutely everyone's interest to make this happen ASAP. They have more than a few knuckle draggers in their support and they are not a cuddly friendly plucky side, these people have a sense of entitlement about them. However, if they go up, don't spend a penny and live the dream for a season before plummeting straight back down the parachute money could keep them going for years.
  6. I think we are physically fucked in all honesty. We just been to see this season out and the players probably want to escape without a long term injury.
  7. Time to play on this for all your worth, get yourself a john Wayne waddle and say ouch ouch ouch randomly.
  8. See Forest Green have gone down today, serves them right for casting aside the absolute baller that is Regan Hendry.
  9. In all seriousness where do they shoe horn in Barrowman and Potter? It's s not like we're Real Madrid and need a cast of thousands behind the scenes. From the interview today Murray sounds like he's planning for next season and is already making a shopping list. Guessing general manager/CEO role which is fair enough although where does that leave Scott Boyd, is he solely looking after the stadium.
  10. Hello, is that Mike Dellios. Listen I think we might have been a bit hasty a few months ago are you still interested.
  11. On the striker front, yes the front line have underperformed which is due to not having the mythical 30 goal a season forward but also the way we play with the personal available. None of them are the answer to a 1 up top we need to try 2 of them in a partnership or try something else. For me however the problem with the team this season is the defence. We wouldn't need to score so many goals if we didn't ship so many at the back.
  12. So I punted for a dh gate one at an exorbitant £14. As far as I can tell comparing it to pictures of a genuine one the inside gold lettering has a tinge of green to it (as fake gold does), the aeroready at the bottom is slightly off and it says made in Thailand instead of Cambodia. Other than. That its spot on and I'll cut around in it without a f**k being given if anything happens to it. I'll still look to pick up an original as to keep along with a few others I've acquired over time.
  13. The worst bit for me was the female nurse at the head end making small talk while a man reminiscent of the Dr from the cannonball run set about my baw sack with a soldering iron.
  14. Looks like a 7th place finish then. Which at the start of the season more than a few would have been happy with. Let the months of speculation begin about who's coming into the board and under what role. Which players are leaving and who we might get in their place and let's all laugh at Falkirk as they shite the bed in the play offs.
  15. We look fucked squad wise. Might have to recall the youngsters on loan to cover if they are eligible.
  16. Justin terms of short date T. I once bought a couple of short dated kegs for the perfect draft and they were minging, really bitter taste and flat as f**k.
  17. Murray has done a reasonable job considering the absolute shocker of a pre season and squad he inherited. We started the season with no centre half's, this was a problem even before Berra upped and left out of nowhere. Murray got hold of Nolan and the young lad from Crewe, he also managed to make Liam Dick into a functioning centre back and thankfully he's got Lang back from a bad injury. Then there was the right back situation where he brought in Millen who was shaky as f**k but he's turned into a solid right back who is more defensively minded than Tumilty was. In the centre of midfield Spencer and Matthews were out injured he brought in Brown who has been fantastic. Up front/wingers/attacking midfielders we had Ross who was out of form carrying a long term injury, Vaughan who it is a miracle can still play but was out until October and is still realistically recovering, Gullan who is a sort of perma crock and you're lucky to get an hour out of when he is fit. Connolly who is generally as dependable as a wood burning stove, Stanton was well out of sorts but has transformed this season for me he's a different player now and he signed Easton who is a quality player but inconsistent at times. There seems to have been some long term mismanagement of fitness and injuries under the old regime. Murray has rolled the dice trying to find the elusive striker big John enough said, Akio and Isma have at least contributed goals but are not the answer, Connell doesn't work out. In terms of the rest he's brought in have been filler to bolster a thread bare squad. On the plus side Masson looks a player and Arnott, Young and Mitchell have all had time out on loan so there is a bit of long term planning at least. Murray has done a good enough job for me, he's got us to a cup final and comfortably kept us up in a transitional season where he has regularly had no bench to speak of and its quite clear we have f**k all money to play with. The real judgement will be next season when he's but his own team. For me the most important are is defence get this right and we turn a lot more draws into wins/defeats into draws. He needs at least 1 experienced defender in there because the individual parts are decent enough to do the job. We'll just have to wait and see who stays and goes between now and June. This talk of getting rid of Ian Murray is frustration and folk need to step back a bit.
  18. This is going to be one of those results if we finally win that only 12 fans will travel to. They'll end up getting t shirts made.
  19. Well after that shit show tonight which killed off our lingering play off hopes, I'm putting the mortgage on a rovers win.
  20. There's a hoodoo that well and truely needs exercising.
