It's been 16 years since we last won a promotion. That promotion came about by us overspending for a single season. The owners deliberately pooled their cash and accepted a significant loss over that season. Money they got back the next season when we went up to the SPL. Dicking around with this level of current signing is getting us nowhere fast. We replace shit with other shit hoping the result will be different. I get this requires investment people might lose completely. There's no guarantees even spending another 500K on players over a season wins you this league. But bringing in the level of mediocrity we have done since we came down means you need to be really lucky to go up. Seems a huge gamble to me.

Nothing is going to change until we get owners who are willing and able to overspend for a season to buy a squad much better than this league. The longer we keep trying to cheapskate our way out of this division the more expensive it will be in the long run. Rawlins out.

I'm still as bemused as I was pre season when I saw our recruitment. What exactly is the plan here? Is it to have a squad no better that 4 other clubs in this league and hope if we do that 5 times we'll get lucky one year? That's what it looks like. Some of this dross could have come from Hartley's mate...its that bad. Best way to get out of this league is to pay a Championship striker big bucks. Instead we've got a collection of clowns up front. I don't think you could make a decent player by combining all of them
