  1. Similar to when we had Snodgrass who had promise but lost his way before a great loan spell turned it around.
  2. https://www.staffordrangersfc.co.uk/tag/sam-bird/
  3. He's played with us through the age groups though, so it's not like pulling on our strip/ hearing our anthem etc was a new thing
  4. Christie doing well in centre mid too. We might just see Christie and McTominay switching roles, which would have been an interesting shout a few years ago.
  5. Just watching Brighton 1 up against Ajax at half time. I'm sure it's been mentioned before but I noticed that not a single pass from any player goes around the midfield without Billy Gilmour pointing where an option is to his teammate. He's the only one doing this and seems to be orchestrating the entire movement of Brighton. Anyone who watches Brighton more than I do... is this typical? When he's not in the side, does another player perform the same function, or is this Billy's own abilities that makes him do this?
  6. I wasn't at the game, but from my very questionable space bar pause, it doesn't look like Robert Thompson was offside for what would have been the opener. From our point of view, I'm really pleased with how well players who I thought would be fringe players are performing. I wouldn't consider any player to be a fringe player now.
  7. I'm not particularly bothered about a player born and brought up in England taking any opportunity to play for England. Seems fair enough for me. Looking at it from a wider perspective, if players like Hayden Hackney show that you can join the Scotland U21 setup and the door will still be open for future England call ups then it might continue to encourage more dual nationality players who have established themselves at club level to give Scotland a try at some point. And you never know, a few might get hooked to playing for Scotland as a result.
  8. McGinty was 16 though. But I take your point. That said, I think it's interesting and the expensive transfer of British children is something we may see more and more as a result of Brexit. If it does I can see an overhaul of the regulations surrounding the ownership of under-16s as a reaction. But as we are in this subforum, what I really mean to say is... Clarke should get him in the next squad
  9. Apologies for posting a link to the Sun Tyrese Noubissie born in Livingston but eligible for Scotland, England, Cameroon and France moves from Leicester to Man City for £1million at the age of 14. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/23529970/man-city-tyrese-noubissie-man-utd-chelsea-wonderkid-transfer/
  10. Living away from Stirling, I really appreciate the highlights @TheWestStand. I would actually agree that the long intro isn't needed, so if that saves you a bit of time I'd be all for chopping it... but maybe others watch it a different way from how I do. The first thing I do is skip forward to where I see the team sheets and go from there. And it''s by no means the most important thing, but I always feel like it's the graphics that let us down. Would be lovely if a graphics designing supporter would volunteer to make some for the team sheets and top left corner score, as well as some swishy replay graphics. That's not me though sadly!
  11. Is it a rule that you have to start with the same lineups? And what happens if a player picks up an injury between now and then, whether off-the-field overnight or in the warm-up. Do you have to use a substitute?
  12. Spurs stadium has a retractable pitch, which can't have been cheap.
  13. Is there a fit and proper test for fit and proper tests?
  14. Would be nice to get a hold of Bevan an Reilly from Albion Rovers… but I might be dreaming there.
  15. It wouldn’t surprised me if the players were told not to creat any flashpoints during the game that might fire up Dumbarton for this game and the rest. Better to let the game just pass by in the dull way it did in order to wrap up the title.
  16. The stream audio seemed to have a compressor on it which meant when the crowd got louder the stream got quieter, which killed the vibe a bit.
  17. Wayhay! Fair play to Dumbarton for getting the issue fixed. Sunset looks lovely
  18. I'm presuming Dumbarton won't put out a tweet to say they're aware of the issue, to apologise, and to say they are working hard to fix it?
  19. oh dear haha! Has this happened before to DTV? Is there hope of it coming back?
