  1. All the best Stranraer in the play offs. We don’t need yet another plastic club in the SPFL.
  2. From a Stenhousemuir perspective it would be nice to win, but to be honest I would really like to see Stranraer avoid the play off. Clyde are better equipped to beat EK, I think. Our record is abysmal down there so a feeling that Stranraer won't have a better chance to get a win with us winding down. Looking forward to the trip - I think there will be a healthy contingent making the trip. Hopefully for a day in the sun.
  3. NIcky Jamieson got Supporters and Players Player of the Year Gregor Buchanan got the club PotY and Kinlay Bilham got Young PotY. Darren Jamieson got the Norwegian PotY Adam Brown - goal of the season.

  5. What did Buckie have to do to obtain a bronze licence?
  6. Clyde 1-0 East Fife Dumbarton 2-0 Elgin City Forfar Athletic 1-1 Stranraer Stenhousemuir 2-0 Bonnyrigg Rose Spartans 1-1 Peterhead
  7. Was great to see Curtis make that save at the end. I thought it was quite an entertaining game and when we went 2-1 up I really thought we would go on and win it. The Clyde goal came as a surprise as they didn’t look like scoring in the 2nd half up to that point. We ended the game with a back 4 of Lynch, Jacobs, Stirling and Bilham. It’s fair to say that the season is catching up on the team now. But who cares.
  8. Disappointed Mikey Anderson didn’t make it. Kinlay Bilham is the other player I hoped might feature. There was a feature on the club last night on A View from the Terrace featuring Donald Smillie. It was a really nice piece.
  9. Bonnyrigg 1 - 1 Spartans Clyde 1 - 0 Stenhousemuir Elgin 1 - 2 Peterhead Forfar 1 - 1 East Fife Stranraer 0 - 2 Dumbarton
  10. Regardless, suspect Darren Jamieson will get a break and Curtis Lyle will step in.
  11. Saturday night is a blur but one thing I do remember is Curtis saying he was unavailable for this game!

  13. Still on a high from yesterday. A truly memorable day. A great squad of players and a great management team.
  14. Bonnyrigg 1-0 Peterhead Clyde 2-1 Stranraer Elgin 1-1 Spartans Forfar 0-1 Dumbarton Stenhousemuir 2-1 East Fife
  15. That was Jamieson’s 18th clean sheet of the season, which when all is said and done is the reason where we are in the league. If we don’t concede, we don’t lose. It’s a great record.
  16. Will we ever score again? Twice the ball rolled across the face of the Dumbo goal. Twice Ross Taylor watched it. Another week, another game ticked off. Three more 0-0 draws and the title is ours.
  17. Weather is terrible. More rain forecast. Any chance this could be postponed?
  18. Naysmith seems reluctant to play Taylor from the start, but I think he has to be given a chance. Can Rodden play up front by himself instead of Aitken? I suppose the pitch may mean we resort to hoofball which Aitken is more suited to, but I think he has only scored one goal this year (is that right?) so a change might not be a bad idea?
  19. Dumbarton 2- 0 Stenhousemuir East Fife 2-0 Elgin Peterhead 2-1 Clyde Stranraer 1-1 Bonnyrigg Spartans 1-1 Forfar
  20. Seems we set up not to lose yesterday. Since the Clyde game that seems to be the way of it. First half was actually quite entertaining but the 2nd half was really brutal. Amazing save from Jamieson. The shot was actually reminiscent of Adam Brown's the last time we played them here with one obvious difference. The other Jamieson deserved his latest MotM. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the League Player of the Year. Its not usually something a Stenhousemuir player features in. Was the last player to make the shortlist Harry Paton? Anyway, Nicky has got to be in with a shout. I'd imagine Gregor Buchanan might also make the shortlist but I'd like to see Michael Anderson get a mention. Back to the game, Pawlett caused us a lot of problems in the middle, while I thought Aitken had another poor game for us. Looking to next season I think this is where Naysmith really needs to strengthen. As mentioned earlier in the thread, the challenge on Kirkpatrick was horrible. The referee gave a free kick so he saw the challenge but didn't consider a booking at least. It could actually have been a red. It was a nasty challenge leading with his elbow. On to next week...
  21. It would almost clinch it, but if Dumbo and/or Spartans win then they would be 17 behind with 18 points to play for. Had we held out on Saturday against Forfar, then Saturday could have been the day.
  22. Clyde 1-1 Spartans Dumbarton 2-0 Bonnyrigg Rose East Fife 2-0 Stranraer Elgin City 1-0 Forfar Athletic Stenhousemuir 1-1 Peterhead
