  1. Feel like Mackie could do a job there. If he’s sent out with the instruction to just nail players like he used to do at the start of last season he would be really effective. Hope Mcglynn tells him to keep it simple too, no need to try and be a Brad Spencer. His downfall is that he’s too rash. And when he plays Cb it’s noticeable because if he misses a tackle the opposition are through on goal. Playing in midfield might mean he’ll get away with a few of those, especially with BSTL mopping up any loose balls behind him.
  2. I get your point. However, can you imagine the complaints from the fans if Mcglynn never updated us on injuries?
  3. Reading other threads and a quick look back at results and it shows that Hamilton really do love a loss away from home to Annan.
  4. Montrose and cove our next two games. Real possibility of receiving our first defeat of the season unfortunately. Especially with the injuries/suspensions and the games coming so quickly between each other. I don’t feel as though there is ever much difference fitness wise between the full time teams and part time teams. However, I do think you notice it when playing a part time team midweek. Therefore, I’ll go 2-1 Falkirk.
  5. Yeah can’t really think of anyone else tbh. Maybe lawal? But think I would prefer Mackie and Nesbitt tbh. Really really not ideal tho.
  6. Yes little bit worrying that. But still hope that Spencer and Finn could be fit for it. If not maybe a midfield of Mackie and Nesbitt??
  7. I think it games like this when we are far better than the other team and have lots of the ball Nesbitt is good in that pivot role. Would include Gary Oliver too. However, against good opposition when we need to win the midfield battle and defend properly he just dosent have the physical or defensive capabilities.
  8. Hopefully that is the arse well and truly collapsing for Hamilton.
  9. Load of nonsense. We put 3 past Stirling Albion when shooting into the North stand earlier on in the season. I could go on but I cba.
  10. Very strong team. Should easily beat Fortmartine. Time will tell how it impacts results against Montrose and cove tho.
  11. I really really like lawal but it’s so clear Mcglynn just dosent rate him. He’s only contracted until the end of the season and I know it’s still early in the season but I just don’t see that getting extended, and you would also have to say he’s not done anything (so far) to warrant an extension. I feel a tad bad for him, obviously a player in there but he’s had less chances this season than he did last season and I just don’t see that changing. You have to wonder why Mcglynn gave him another year if he’s just not going to play him. The mckay one is a bit weird to me. Got injured presumably in training, been out for months but nobody, including the manager seems to know what the injury actually is. I do wonder if he’s given up on playing for us or if Mcglynn has told him privately he’s surplus to requirements.
  12. I think you’ve also got to factor in money that could become available if we send some of our own players out on loan. Guys like Allan, lawal and McKay could all head out on loan imo. Could see someone like Allan going to Arbroath for example.
  13. Brilliant news. Well done everyone at the club for getting that done early so it not to drag out and become an issue in January. And yes I think it would be safe to assume that Ross will start today.
  14. Agreed, however pretty sure Raith don’t want Ross cup tied. Pretty sure someone mentioned it on here last week.
  15. Long Bisland Donaldson lang Mackie Finn hendo Ageyman Nesbitt lawal allan Could play Mackie and CB and rest Lang. Or could put Hogarth in the sticks. Play Morrison, miller, Ross and McIver on Tuesday against Montrose. That’s a completely fresh front 4 to run riot against the OAP that is Sean Dillion. Hendo suspended against Montrose so would definitely be playing him even if Spencer was injured or not.
  16. Agreed, I would love to see a midfield three of Ageyman, miller and morrison again. Don’t think we’ve seen it since miller has returned from injury. It’s so much more fluid with miller and Ageyman being able to play wide and central. The same applies to the fluidity we can play when we have Ross in there. Whereas, Nesbitt can only play through the middle. I also think Ageyman provides so much more physicality in the midfield. Nesbitt has a lot of qualities but being physical and strong in a tackle is not one of them.
  17. Getting to the 1000 mark by the end of the season would be a huge success imo. Despite some members of the board insisting it needs 2-2500 to be successful. Aware I’m rehashing old ground thought.
  18. Does anyone know what the latest membership number is for the FSS?
  19. Burrell now top goal scorer in league 1. Was always definitely a player there just never suited the lone striker role. Bit like Jordan Allan if I’m honest. Anyway he’ll be in Tom langs back pocket in a couple of weeks time.
  20. I know it’s been said a few times but what a difference the ultras have made. Absolutely fantastic. Atmosphere was incredible last night. If things keep going the way they are the ultras might need a bigger section! So many of them last night.
  21. I’ve been critical of young Finn (especially defensively) and sometimes think his praises a sung a little too easily at times. However, tonight he was simply outstanding. Brilliant for him to get his first professional goal and defensively I don’t think he put a foot wrong. Whole team outstanding (apart from long) and maybe Nesbitt was a bit quiet but that is me being really really critical. Well done the bairns!
  22. I don’t think there has been a Scottish cup game yet. So he maybe can play next week?
