  1. Absolutely no excuse for that and they should have been huckled. It did feel like a bit of a prolonged goading they were giving our fans after the goal and a few yellows wouldn't have gone a miss.
  2. I would also have gone this way but that's twice a Raith manager chose b. Today wasn't quite as bad as McGurn not playing at East End in 2011.
  3. You're managing a Raith team that's doing better than expected. You take your team thats 2nd to play the league leaders at home in a massive fixture. You have taken 7 points from the league leaders in the first 3 meetings. Do you (a) play a conservative familiar line up... or (b) make a wildcard personel change ?
  4. If all fit I'd be tempted to go with: Kev Brown Murray Watson Dick Mullin Brown Matthews Easton Stanton Hamilton But I reckon Murray will go with Vaughan + one of Rudden or Hamilton, and Matthews on the bench Unless S.Brown has to drop back to defence.
  5. Montrose away 5.30pm ko. If you're a lager enthusiast you can't really ask for better for a title win.
  6. 100% agree. Don't give these snidey c***s a single extra penny. Nothing against Dundee Utd fans but f**k their board.
  7. There's no excuse for people being abusive to ticket office staff... but if Raith were getting calls regarding a Dundee Utd ticket sale, which Dundee Utd were handling in a way we asked them not to... ie selling a block at a time... then I think directing them to Dundee Utd is fine as they would be best placed to help answer any queries. I don't for a second believe that the Police have demanded six rows are cordened off AND coincidently the Fairplay which was going to be offered to Raith in December is out of action. If I'm wrong and the Police have made this decision then both clubs should be challenging/highlighting it as its a costly over reaction. A better alternative would be to advertise the back few rows as a singing section and the front few rows as a famliy section. Or use the fencing Falkirk use to prevent pitch invasions.
  8. For me the frustration is that in December the suggestion was the Fairplay would be available if required as well as the Shed. We're a diddy team and there's often a few hundred of us at away games. If we had the two stands I think we could of brought 2500/3000 to this game. If we had been given 1340 tix in the Fairplay and the Shed was for home fans then I'd say fair enough, but for fans to miss out for empty seats is a nonsense. Ah well its done now. On to the game. No idea what to expect score wise.
  9. How many times have United hosted a sellout crowd compared to Montrose in recent times ? If United can handle thousands of old firm fans they can handle 1900 Raith fans.
  10. Were any of the pubs near the ground good for atmosphere before the game at Tannadice in December ? We were in Frews which was pretty home fans heavy. Where is everyone headed this time ?
  11. I reckon there is no chance the police have restricted numbers of away fans due to other local games, given Falkirk have been offered 2500 tickets plus another 1000 if needed by Montrose. Potentially Dundee Station at about 6pm might see Raith and Pars fans bumping in to each other but I dont see a massive Pars support out. Tannadice is a proper ground that can and has a track record of holding several thousand away fans without issue, so I really think its down to United deciding to allocate us less tickets. What has happened is United have locked down home sales to avoid away fans in the home end... again Im doubtful thats on police orders but I guess its possible.
  12. If my name was Luigi I'd try to avoid falling out with a club who's main weapon is mario kart style posters.
  13. I genuinely think if tickets had gone on sale earlier, with both clubs promoting it (and a bigger away allocation)we could be closing in on a sellout and be talking about it being a massive advert for the Championship.
  14. I think Raith's statement was entirely fair given that they knew we were in the Shed and United were leaving seats empty instead of selling them to us. I like you assumed we'd be in the Fairplay stand until I logged in to buy the tickets.
  15. Stop 600 Raith fans going Probably stop an equal amount of Utd fans going. Lose revenue for 1200 seats. Gain no advantage. Tinpot stuff
  16. United are also requiring you to log in to your account to buy a home end ticket, presumably to stop Raith fans buying them. Potentially then that puts off casual United fans .. so you gain no advantage but lose a few 100 sales in each end.
  17. If United had given us 1340 tickets in the Fairplay stand and sold the rest of the ground including the Shed to home fans I'd grudingly say fairplay... maximise your home advantage. To leave loads of empty seats especially if our allocation includes restricted view tickets is tinpot. I'm going but I won't be spending a penny in the ground. Boycott the pie stands. It's not exactly a huge thing but if done en masse it sends a message.
  18. No point phoning Raith for ticket info... get on to Dundee Utd
  19. Should show here: https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/tickets/away-club-online-ticket-hub At 10
  20. Can't take a testimonial too seriously but good to see Micky Cameron get some minutes... he looked like he was troubling the defence and I reckon he can do a job up at Tannadice. Ian Murray is finished at CB, his positioning was horrendous and the way another defender chipped a pass along the back line over him to Hannah suggests his colleagues don't trust him. Was good to see McGill get minutes, he and Hannah both looked decent. The finish from Smith was good too.
  21. Ronnie Coyle's was well attended as was the match for Laurie Ellis. The McGurn attendence was poor.
  22. Any idea when tickets for the game on the 30th are likely to go on sale ?
  23. I'm going, but the timing is slightly odd. Pre season Sat afternoon ko you would have a 4 figure away support on top of the home support.
  24. The Alloa home 0-0 game when we needed to win to secure the league was another awful day.
