  3. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.
  4. Them being illegal in grounds does mean they tend to get thrown, if thats from the back you risk hitting your own fans. If it's from the front, they will go on the pitch. As long as they are available cheaply online, and youngsters see it happening at big games I dont see it stopping any time soon. There's currently a debate about pyro nationwide. Provision could be made for cold burning smoke bombs to be used under supervision in a designated area, with safe disposal buckets similar to Scandinavia. Chances of that, probably nil... More likely we'll get more stewards doing useless pat down searches and the odd buffoon getting hammered by the courts.
  5. What a team we have When I saw the way big Kev celebrated the Fife cup penalty shoot out win at Kelty I knew I was going to like the man. Shot stopping and shithousing what a combo. Hamilton was imense at both ends of the pitch. Going forward Stanton and Easton are an absolute joy to watch at the moment. Mullin with his touches of class, and Smith with his work rate have been class additions. Connolly single handedly carried us for months last year and its great to see him back and showing the same form. Brown... best Murray signing. Rock solid. Vaughan... what a Rover what a goal. Millen...the townies absolutely hate him. Never change Ross
  6. The Raith facebook page asks a series of fan submitted questions of a player the day before a game. It's not bad but today a question put to Liam Dick mentioned locker room instead of dressing room. Seething.
  7. Over the last 20 years we've had years of no derbies, seasons where East Fife or Cowdenbeath have been the derby game, and generally when we have played the Pars they've had the better team and taken the majority of the points. Now with things going well on and off the pitch, and us having no worse than a 50/50 chance any time we play the Pars, I'll happily have a derby every second week The game being on the beeb will hit the crowd but still see it being 4k at an absolute minimum and no reason to think it won't be another keenly contested game with a good atmosphere.
  8. The challenge cup pricing is farcical. I would guess that the Pars game being on free to air tv, on a dark winter night, with the expense of Xmas looming, would mean that reducing the price by a decent whack, wouldn't bring in enough extra punters to make any more money. The TV deals for the early rounds of the cup, the Championship, and the diddy cup, are all shockingly poor for the clubs.
  9. Wasn't a fan of Times Square but Jimmy's Corner just off it is a fantasic pub if you like boxing and/or cheap beer. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/may/15/jimmy-glenn-boxing-bar-times-square
  10. I'm sure that will be a morale booster if he reads the forum. Second in the league and you're having a dig at a boy who has been pretty solid all season and who gives his all every week. Why ? Did you boo the team off on Saturday out of interest ?
  11. I appreciate it's another expense at the most expensive time of the year. It might well also be on the beeb, but after all the times I've gone to East End expecting a hiding, I'll definitely be there when we've got at very worst a 50/50 chance of progressing.
  12. Was in hospitality yesterday, and have to say it was superb. Did it a few years ago and it was good, but feel it's gone up a few levels. Graeme Kilgour was superb as a host and gave the afternoon more of a focus than hospitality had before. You could easily be a neutral at 1pm and be right behind the Rovers by the time you took your seat for kick off. Getting players and staff in is superb. It's a really easy and free thing for the club to do and enhances the experience. Final shout out to Steve Tosh... some cracking quotes from him. Think the length of time people stay after, spending money at the bar shows its a very enjoyable afternoon.
  13. Dunfermline has a decent amount of fairly good pubs quite close together. The Old Inn, Creepy Wee, Somewhere Else, The Commercial amongst others. The Bruce however is about my least favourite... unpleasant smells, unpleasant drinkers and that weird set of stairs behind the bar.
  14. Yeah there was. However if your a casual fan not signed up for the emails, and you missed the fb post a few days ago, then there is nothing on the Raith website or Fanbase to suggest the Railway Stand is now for United fans. Tickets for that section are on sale, so could be bought in error by Raith fans.
