  1. Is there any actual evidence that these so called pre contracts even exist?
  2. Each to their own opinion. I thought he was and is shite..
  3. In fairness he looked very very good at the level he’d been playing and had looked decent in a couple of NI internationals. I guess you never know if players can make the step up when you take that kind of punt. It’s fair to say he hasn’t. Arguably the likes of McGrath and McCarthy didn’t stand out at that level as much as McMenamin did, but turned out to be very good players for us.
  4. I hope you are right. I guess where the bookies are coming from is not so much looking at the 3 teams individual results that would be required, but more them happening collectively. Arguably the most likely of the 3 is us losing both our games. That could easily happen. Then looking at Hibs and Dundee, assuming Dundee lose to Rangers (please God no upsets there), they both have one game you would expect them to win and one tricky one. So the key games for me are Hibs away to Motherwell and Dundee away to Aberdeen. Either way, between yesterday, Hibs at Home and Dundee away, Motherwell will have had a big say in where we end up.
  5. Looking at the remaining pre split fixtures, there’s now a more than reasonably chance we will blow top 6. I only saw the second half so forgive me if we were excellent first half, but that second half was yet another incredibly frustrating watch. We are so powder puff in the final third. We’re showing all the signs of once again running out of steam when it really matters.
  6. Ayunga and McMenamin are absolute wastes of a shirt. Truly believe that if Robbo hadn’t paid £250k for McMenamin he wouldn’t be getting a sniff of a game. What an outrageous waste of money.
  7. Genuine question alert! Do next manager threads normally run to 33 pages? Surely there isn’t usually time.
  8. Anyone any idea how many tickets we’ve sold for this one? I’d imagine a fair few of those who turned up at Killie will have been sickened and the fact that it’s Easter weekend won’t help either. I’m coming up to Scotland on Saturday but sadly land too late to get to the game. Will be at the Hearts game next week though, hoping to keep my unbeaten run going this season.
  9. Ah right! Clearly you didnae bother reading my post above then ETA - After Friday night’s performance I wouldnae pick Souttar over Mr. Porteous, the auld Janny from Foxbar Primary back in the day.
  10. Is that not largely the same thing? Genuine apologies if I’m missing your point.
  11. Well there was most definitely a notable drop off in quality when they came off the bench in numbers on Friday. I’m not saying Armstrong couldn’t replace Christie or Adams couldn’t replace Shankland for example. I’m saying that with the current injuries I believe the starting XI on Friday was our strongest and if we replace say 5 of them, we will undoubtedly have a weaker team. If we do that and say win 2-0, what will we learn from that? I’d rather the lads from Friday went out and put right what they did wrong on that night.
  12. I seriously hope there are few (or preferably no) changes to Friday's starting IX. We will learn absolutely nothing from fielding half a team of second stringers against NI. Full strength team. Gubbed the arse of them. Job done. No nonsense. If Clarke makes a bunch of changes, there's a real possibility I'll watch Wales v Poland instead.
  13. Yeah the bit in bold is very fair comment. Mandron scored 3 of his 10 goals in the LC Group stage, but like you say, there’s nothing between the players I don’t think. I doubt you’d find a St. Mirren fan happy to swap Mandron for Bair and I’m sure the opposite would be true of Motherwell fans. My point in my previous post was more about thinking it was odd the poster referred to Mandron having a purple patch (which he hasn’t) when Bair very much has had one. He scored 2 goals in Motherwell’s first 19 games. He then scored 8 goals in 6 consecutive games. Since then he’s scored 1 goal in 5 games. That’s the very definition of a purple patch to me.
  14. Don't think there's much between the two players in terms of performance this season (Bair 11 goals and Mandron 10), but the bit in bold is a bit of weird take. Mandron's goals have been pretty much sporadic throughout the season and if either player has had a "purple patch" it's Bair, having scored 8 of his 11 goals in a one and a half month spell at the start of this year. Anyway, bald men, combs etc etc.
  15. This a game that until recently I'd have been quite confident of winning and this is taking into account not knowing which St. Mirren team was going to turn up from one match to the next. However, now that I don't know which St. Mirren team is going to turn up from one half to the next, I'm somewhat less confident.
  16. Yup! As long as you don’t give a f**k about playing for your country, it’s a no brainer.
  17. I am definitely less than 100% convinced that these two PCAs even exist. Do actually have any documented evidence?
