  1. Kelly just on Radio Scotland, giving it "our backs are up against the wall", "it's embarrassing", "they've let the manager down" and "we're gutted".
  2. I can only congratulate Raith fans and wish them the best for the next round. You played with the togetherness of a real team, something we can only dream of. We'll see you again next season. As for us, yet again the fans pay and turn up only to have to sit through a gutless, heartless, leaderless performance. Hammell has to do the right thing and walk but I have the fear he won't and even if/when he does I don't see how any manager turns this team around and saves us from the drop. We have that stench of a team resigned to their fate and they're just waiting on it happening.
  3. Jesus fucking Christ!!! You're welcome for the 3 points Aberdeen.
  4. There's absolutely zero excuses to be made for Hammell now. The line of it still being Alexanders team can't be used anymore. Continue to lose and we go down then it's absolutely on Hammell (and Kerr).
  5. Walking out of that shit show at FTbI made my peace with being relegated. Aye it's shite, no one wants to be relegated but on the other side, we play new teams, visit new grounds, don't have to deal with the arse cheeks and hopefully win a trophy for coming back up. The fear of course is becoming a Falkirk or Dunfermline but I'd like to think we wouldn't do that. As for Hammell, tonight was the straw that broke the camels back for me. 2 down just 4 minutes into the 2nd half, that's plenty time for most team to at least try and mount a comeback but he's just standing on the touchline, hands in his pockets watching the world go by. He should be screaming barking orders at them on how to fix the mess their in. He just seems too much of a nice guy to me.
  6. Surprised to see Johnson dropped yet Goss has kept his place.
  7. All hope is gone for that match. I was really hoping that we wouldn't have to deal with Shields seeing as he's been linked with a move away. What's that for Mandron? A game and a bit until he's picked up an injury. You honestly couldn't make it up.
  8. Looking forward to this, it'll be another good cup away day. I expect us to bring quite a big crowd through for it. I'm fully expecting a tougher game than Arbroath in the last round. Hope we stick to wearing our dayglo and black kit for this. Does anyone know when tickets will be due to go on sale for this? Just as a side note, my first Motherwell game was 5-0 win against Raith in April 97, Coyne got a double. Still to this day he's probably the only footballer/famous person I could meet and would be a stuttering mess and not know what to say to him.
  9. I'm delighted with the draw. Arbroath yesterday was brilliant, it's rare we get games like this in the cup so it's good to get a couple in a row opposed to Morton at home followed by one of the OF at home.
  10. That was my first game too. Sat in the Cooper right behind the goal. Cracking draw and away day again. Arbroath was brilliant so I'm looking forward to this one as well.
  11. It wasn’t pretty by any means but it was a great day out and we found a way to get the win which is all that matters with added bonus of a clean sheet. Fingers crossed Blaney keeps his place next week.
  12. Huge credit to Arbroath for making sure the game goes ahead. I think it'll be closer than some may think, I wouldn't rule out extra time and even penalties. If we were at home I'd be a lot more nervous than I already am but hopefully we can get the job done in the 90 minutes. If I was a neutral and a betting man looking for an upset today, unfortunately this is the game I'd be looking at for it to happen.
  13. Had a quick look, he still is their captain and he's played 15 times in the Championship this season. I agree it's fantasy stuff but there's no doubt he's the exact kind of player we need. Hopefully we can find someone similar before the window shuts.
  14. I'm really looking forward to this for the day out. It's a ground I've never been to and we rarely get games like this in the cup. As for the game itself I'm not too confident at all. Our defence is a bombscare and will inevitably give Arbroath chances. I hope Blaney comes in for this, he's way overdue a start. Hopefully Dean starts ahead of Goss as well and I wouldn't mind seeing Oxborough getting a chance but that seems unlikely. I hope we have enough to get the job done but given what we've seen all season you don't know. This could be the game where we win and it kickstarts our season but lose it and it really is destined to only go one way.
  15. It was towards the end of last season and I don't know how much but I'd heard that Birmingham City were rather interested in him.
  16. Aye, next seasons opener against Morton. Being serious though it's hard to see when that win will come: St Johnstone, St Mirren and Hearts are our next 3 home games, I don't feel confident about any of them.
