Sad news but hardly a surprise. I did wonder on this thread in the summer how you could afford to pay a team with around 2/300 fans (paying little more than Lowland League admission) without an extremely rich benefactor.

I saw a couple of comments on Twitter this morning about one of the Rovers shareholders selling his holding to someone called Paul Reilly, and the sentiment was entirely negative for the club’s future. Anyone on here in the know what it could mean? Hope it’s not as gloomy as it sounds.

Didn’t realise that, thought he was all west/central based. Student part of the city (well, isn’t most the city these days) so probably does well.

I’ve seen a lot of comments about his business, and the overall consensus seems to be that it not bad grub at all, need to try it some time.

Absolutely brilliant article in the latest programme in response to a question about where all of last season’s players are, a very full summary. A few that stand out for me, Sam Newman and Aiden Gilmartin mainly benchwarming at Spartans and East Kilbride, such a waste. Sean Slaven starring for Ashfield alongside is a total stunner, do they not play offside in that league?

Just noticed this in the fixture list, sure it’s been there for ages, but can’t remember it being mentioned anywhere. Is there a reason for the home game v Hearts B being on Friday 15 December and not the Saturday? Christmas Day out the Saturday?

I’m sorry to read posts like this from committed fans, it seems to have gone horribly wrong, very quickly. Not withstanding the overspending there has been on players in the recent past, surely the club should be able to have a sustainable future? The stadium is owed by the football supporters club trust, is that correct? The speedway team must pay the trust rent during the summer. That seems like a dream situation to a Cowdenbeath fan. Your crowds have, and seem to remain decent so no problems there. The team train in Edinburgh to my knowledge and will only ever be in Berwick on a match day, so the club should still be able to attract players from a decent radius. There are teams with a lot less resources than Berwick doing well in the LL, so does it just boil down to the stewardship of the club? Good luck to Berwick in getting things sorted out.
