  1. Great result Bo’ness, the Lowland League is clearly not as weak as some of the WOS folks would have you believe.
  2. If the Lithgae fan from the podcast happens to see this, who is always so complimentary of Cowdenbeath, in the nicest possible sense take this;
  3. Man, that’s a bit gloomy. I thought we competed very well, game should have been out of sight before the equaliser. Actually thought the referee was ok, didn’t fall for any of their antics. The Linlithgow management/bench were an absolute embarrassment.
  4. I’ll post a more sensible summary later but for the moment as we drive home.
  5. Not looking a great crowd to be honest with less than 15 minutes to kick off. Some Rose fans but not quite the lucrative ‘Lithgae pound’ mass support I was expecting.
  6. On the bench, but yes good news he is back in the squad.
  7. I think the internet must be broken in Cowdenbeath
  8. Noticed that Mcbookie has Darvel as strong favourites, I was a little surprised so much in their favour
  9. Seems to be quiet all over the LL forum at the moment which is a surprise with this weekend coming up, so many good matches in prospect.
  10. It’s quiet on here in the lead up to the big game. How we all feeling, excited, worried? Think it will be a difficult game, 6 weeks ago I would have been very confident, but the injuries have without doubt taken a toll, not sure if anyone back this week off the injury list. Still have some confidence we can get a result, though worry about the leaky defence. Hope the tickets sales are going well. Guessing there is no official segregation in place tomorrow, but Linlithgow fans may be directed towards the old stand?
  11. Hi @cowdenbeath, on Saturday morning I ordered Saturday’s Kilsyth/Linlithgow programme via the club 135 button as I couldn’t make the match. Programme arrived today but it was the Tranent/Gala issue. Do you know if it’s the office email address be best to contact, do they send them out?
  12. Amateurish stuff from the South Challenge cup folk. Can’t view the draw on YouTube as there must be at a limit despite less than 500 folk watching.
  13. Barely suitable for anyone I would say. . I’ve been to a fair few games there and it’s fine for an under 20’s match with about 30 people there, otherwise not a great experience.
  14. Good lord, only 6 rounds left. Leith Athletic at Meadowbank will do for me.
  15. In case anyone interested in the east of the country and not aware, there is a programme/memorabilia fair in Edinburgh this Sunday. Don’t think I’ll head along as wrong side of town for me, but might be of interest to some. Appear to be a few special guest including one of the vlogger lads (I enjoy some of the football blogging videos but probably don’t want a go-pro stuck in my face at a programme fair ).
  16. I must say that I don’t really see where Edinburgh City go as a club from here. Being local it’s been interesting to see Spartans focus in on the North Edinburgh support base and it seems to have worked to some extent. And not far from Edinburgh, both Bonnyrigg and Tranent have engaged their local communities and it would appear they have done well with that in recent years. What sort of identify do Edinburgh City want? There seemed to be a bit of a narrative to push them as ‘Edinburgh’s 3rd team’, maybe somewhere that Hibs and Hearts fans would go if their team, was away and didn’t want to travel. I doubt there is much mileage in that really. Meadowbank is clearly not great, but would there be many more locals wanting to watch them if they moved to somewhere like Meggetland, which is a great place to watch a game? I’m not sure it would really boost support all that much. In short, sadly don’t see a great future for Edinburgh City.
  17. Must be lovely to be able to afford to go out and get a 20 goal a season player when you pick up a few injuries.
  18. Aye, EK are really in need of more players right enough.
  19. Nice to see our old goalie Danny Farrell was the hero for Whitburn in their 3-2 Centenary Cup Final Win over Linlithgow Rose at Prestonfield. Saved a late penalty to keep Whitburn ahead, superb.
  20. Sure that’s correct, Nicky Reid was #23 I think.
  21. Pretty fed up after that to be honest, strangely more so than a lot of the rubbish games last season, I guess due to our expectations being higher now. Felt like we had stolen a game I don’t think we really deserved to win, only to kick ourselves in the nuts again. Chasing a third goal when we should have been booting it into the high street (the spare balls had been taken away by then). The referee was terrible right enough, but don’t think we can blame that, Sorry I couldn’t stay around for the CISS meeting, hope it went well.
  22. And scored by about the smallest player on the pitch Pretty brutal game of football, we seem to be getting bullied a bit, need to keep the heid, suspensions are the last thing we need. See if having the strong breeze second half makes any difference. I know we have a lot of injuries, but the starting line up is decent. Players who have been excellent like Butterworth, Jack and Docherty not looking sharp today. Still hopeful, though not much on the bench to freshen things up.
  23. Ha ha, we both saw the team lines about the same time.
  24. No Craig Hepburn today bench is light on numbers.
