Other than the DG situation, in all my years as a Rovers fan I have to shake my head in disbelief at this thread!!

Here we are giving yardage to a "mibbee aye, mibbee naw" rumour mill!!

No one but No one seems to have a handle on what has (if anything ) been said!!

    DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE!!!!..??

Even if there is a potential “release” list remember the new regime has said they’ve been planning 2/3 windows ahead so it won’t be uncommon for a release list somewhat drafted this early and it may vary depending what league we will be in.

  2. If the rumours are true that players have found out getting released and getting offered no new deals, let’s take a look who’s Under contract and OOC

Under: Dabrowski, Murray, Brown, Stanton, Connolly, Vaughan, Smith, Mullin, Hamilton, Hannah.

OOC, Thomson, McNeil, Millen, Watson, Dick, Matthews, Corr, Ross, Easton, McGill, Arnott, Masson Then Byrne, Turner Rudden and Browns loans are done.

even if we keep 2/3 OOC players that’s still a big rebuild in the summer we need imo Minimum 3 Full backs, at least 2/3 CHs, 2/3 Central Midfielders, Maybe another winger/out and out No9 and obviously 2 GKs

Aye. RB in a back 4, at Championship level, is about right for him.

Twitter etc., will be filled with Saints fans celebrating this and proclaiming him one of our worst players, but he as mentioned above he was played constantly in positions that just highlighted his weaknesses. Hes not a great attacking player and can be caught dreaming in defence, so RWB was a nightmare as he'd do nothing on the ball then leave space behind him due to high positioning. RB in a back 4 should negate most of that.

His confidence is done though, hes made a goal costing error virtually every league game hes played this season and that follows a poor season last year too. He might need games to build that up again.

1 question unlike our other full backs can he stop a cross coming into the box? If so he’ll do

Good episode and some good points covered.

On the full back discussion. I can’t believe that McGill hasn’t had more game time in the recent run of games.Would offer more going forward towards the end of the game in the right back position-overlapping, good pace and getting decent crosses in.

Likewise in recent weeks towards the end of games when we are chasing it would’ve  been ideal time to give Hannah a chance coming on for dick.Pace and better going forward.

Murray obsessed with changing the front men when the game could easily be influenced by these changes.

I’ll also add when they were discussing the midfield and who could do the Sam Stanton Job defend but can also get the ball up the park 30 yards or so we had one on the bench a certain No8 called Ross Matthews criminal how he didn’t get on because he was what we were missing in the middle of the park

Never suggested Kev was to blame, and actually asked for someone with keeper experience to clarify what he should have been doing there since it seemed he saw Toderov and tried to get a defender on him.

Kev should be still staying focused and shout someone left, someone left obviously the video doesn’t show that if he does or doesn’t but if he did they were either not listening or just simply too focused but he should been 100% should be shouting either left side/No11 or Todorov… and I apologies I thought it was a dig at Kev

    The Big Kev Question:

For the more experienced keeper types, where's Kev's responsibility here. I understand he's watching the ball, however at 5:40 on the RaithTV clock, Kev points to the middle, I was assuming at the second Airdrie attacker...however, then at 5:43 on the RaithTV clock, Kev again points to the middle while Todorov comes into view exactly where Kev is pointing, with his hands up, obviously yelling for the ball already. If Kev saw him coming in and yells to the defence, at what point should he notice no one paid attention...if he even should notice that, because he's obviously watching the ball pinballing around?

Kev can’t look to his left and shout where Todorov is because he’s a gk and has to be 100% focused on the ball especially that close out other wise players will take advantage and just hit it, but nah kevs the last person to blame at the goal

Scared to ask who all these ‘Murray Out’ campaigners would want as a new manager. Potter to step in - no thanks!

As much as the early season form was on him,the players and the board-current form is on the same groups as well.

I think we’ve probably all called for Murray to try a back 3 more often this season-he did and it backfired. Bottom line is we don’t have the right players to play it. He’s tried 4-1-3-2, 4-2-3-1 and probably a good old fashioned 4-4-2 at times.

Bottom line in the last few weeks is the players have not been good enough-both as a collective and individuals. Murray’s job to fix and also the players to take some responsibility.

Recruitment isn’t all on Murray-I don’t think he has a great deal of involvement in that these days according to some recent interviews.

I’m hopeful Murray and his staff and the players can turn things around. You can see every one of them continuing to fight to the final whistle in recent games.

We all called for a back 3 but a back 3 only works with 3 Proper CHs not 2 FBs a CH or A CM in there, and also requires wing backs who can get up and down the pitch and can defend and we don’t have that, I’d like us to try a 442 Narrow or a 433 get 3 in middle and compact it because the past few weeks it’s been getting ran through

There's no doubt Murray will be gone by the end of the season. We're going to end up 5th and that will be the end of it for him. And I think we'll all be glad to see the back of him and his 'tactics'.

That 3 year deal was a huge blunder from the board and I look forward to them spinning the positives of the cost of that on their next 6 monthly financial update.

See I would agree if he does do a McGlynn and absolutely shite it latter part of the season with what 3 wins in that time, then he does deserve the sack because that would be absolutely criminal from where we were but he doesn’t have a cup final to fall back on, I do still think we will get the play offs but we’re gonna make it harder than it should’ve been, but let’s just see how this plays out for the rest of the season before the Murray out shouts imo

I hope our guys were watching the Falkirk v TNS semi (or will be) because the TNS gave a display of how to defend when it was really needed. No messing about. Just get tight on the attacker and get a tackle in, then get the ball away from the danger area either with an accurate pass or a blooter up the pitch.
    Simple stuff if done correctly.

They’ve got good defenders that know how to defend properly, they never seemed to panic but everytime the ball comes near our defence we’re shit scared but aye I agree they should be watching that, that’s the basics but we seem to struggle with that atm

That rumour has been going around every transfer window for about 7 years.

Aye I know but it died down when the window was open as he was playing for Hibs at that point ie Ashcroft is playing for Dundee now so I doubt he’s available, but now they’ve signed a left sided defender its started popping back up again

I hope that’s true, exactly what we need a strong calming influence on the squad

Next season id like us to get Millen and Dick ATF I’d like us to look at that Megwa who’s at hibs either on loan or permanent he’s the exactly the type of FB we need, Pace, Gets up and down the pitch, can defend, ain’t scared to take a man on, but bring in 1 other Right sided defender who can play both CH and RB same as on the left

The lack of structure is the most worrying thing , my pars supporting pal ( aquaintence😜) can’t believe how unstructured we have become, we got out worked last night , airdrie we’re committed, chased everything and stuck to the game plan, we panicked at the goal , we need a cb In to lead , i would play Keith and corr against united, Murray is head gone at the moment 4-1-4-1 to start for me v United and bring on the flair if we need it. Turner is a decent player but doesn’t suit us imo

We’ve had no structure all season? We were getting bailed out by moments of magic/individual brilliance and chaos now that’s been stopped we’ve been very exposed at how fragile and so disjointed we actually are

If they announced that Millen, Dick and Watson weren't going to be offered new contracts, would anybody be all that bothered?  Heck, at this point if they announced Murray was going to be allowed to leave I wouldn't be that bothered about that either.  We've done a lot of good work on the midfield and forwards the season, a fair chunk of whom are signed beyond this season.  For next season we really need to rip that entire defence up and start again.

I’d keep Watson around for that experienced head and have him there if need be, the other 2 I’m not arsed if they left tomorrow tbh both are very upgradable and there’s a full backs in this league and in the league below better than both of them, but I agree we need to rip up this shambles at the back and start again

  14. 24 minutes ago, FitbaSupporter said:

Would like to see Corr and Watson as our central two for the rest of the season. Could be a mix of youth and game intelligence that might work.  Dick is not good enough. We can all see that and probably so can the manager, but other than putting McGill in he has no alternative. Millen also weak so unless we get new bodies in we probably need changes further up the field to protect the fragile defence.

If we can get 2 full backs on loan that actually know where to be, that can defend, stop crosses and get forward rather than stopping about 5 yards up the park and cut back inside then I think it’ll make a world of difference

Where the hell was Murray and Dick. Dick was to busy challenging Millen in the air for the ball, basically getting in each others way resulting in the ball not making it out of our box and no one thought it necessary to pick up an unmarked striker. Defence needs a shake up.

We’ve been saying this since the first of January and nothing done about it, and I’m no wanting to hear the pish nothing available, how come most teams in the league have managed to sign defenders and we’ve not? If you look outside of just the domestic market there’s options there

    Goodwille Gate: Reorganise.

Some semblance of order, new investment.

A new revitalised club, and team. Fair play.

But, your wankish social media had digs at us, rather than concentrating on pushing the positives of your success so far this season. Smacks horrendously of a wee team mentality.

Maybe you can ask that self confessed 'media personality' Blair McNally to offer some fund raising advice when you get relegated in a couple of seasons.

    1000010029-01.jpeg

You lot seemingly don’t give a f**k about us? But comment on here, Twitter or Facebook after the defeats think that’s obsession tbh and I’d be worrying avoiding relegation yourselves this season let alone us in a few years 👍

  17. I agree with McGuigan that Byrne is probably our best midfielder in terms of talent and how he plays but in my opinion he is on par or just a bit better than brown I think brown does a lot of good things defensively as does matthews but I think Matthews offers us different to him going forward but that’s just my opinion
