Not expecting a world beater but we've had plenty of signings before who have come in to reactions of frustration only to do really well. The main concern I've got is that he's coming in on the back of an injury hampered season down south. It's a two year deal, so Murray clearly has faith that he won't have any issues.

The reactions have mainly come from the Killie fans tbh, they don’t like him said by a few people because of his father apparently he’s a right C.U.N.T and so is Ross according to them

  2. Been scrolling through the twitter and some people are saying why Killie fans don’t rate him was because of his father being an arse apparently and that Millen made a few mistakes and gave away a few goals (which everyone does)

but we can’t judge him until we’ve seen him in a rovers shirt and if he keeps injury free and with a run of games and learns from Berra we will never know how this will turn out

  3. Was at starks park today to get my nephew his season ticket and saw a few players one of them never seen before (could be trialist) wearing the No4 training kit, never take the training numbers as gospel, just a bit of info, it wasn’t Millen or Paterson as I would’ve recognised them

It seems to be increasingly common. I don't know if they're being utilised more often or if teams are just publicising them more (for whatever reason?) but it does seem odd. Morton have just announced four pre-season friendlies, three of which are behind closed doors.

Is it maybe a case of being able to use "looser" rules than an official friendly? Unlimited trialists or rolling subs or whatever? I've no idea what the rules are but it does seem odd to be turning paying punters away.

Aye that is strange, yes it’s pre season but that extra bit cash coming into clubs could be helpful

  5. This is just my opinion, signing Paterson makes sense and I’ve looked where’s played he can play at both full back positions so do we sign him as that versatility type signing i think we could, make him first Choice LB and bring in this Millen if he is signing and if he gets injured shift him to RB.

obviously Murray knows him better than all of us and he think he can come in and does what Murray wants then so be it

With regards to Paterson, I’m sure he has a year to go on his deal with Selick. Based on that, and that fact we have Dick (I know, no where near good enough & the fact teams, Ayr in particular, targeted him as our weak link) and Young, I doubt we’ll be paying a fee for Paterson. Especially when there’s a hefty fee getting paid out this summer.

Defenders to be announced, I reckon it’ll be a RB and/or CH, since that’s what we need.

It is refreshing to have a bit of excitement circling transfers where you have no idea who the player is.

I think he got released from Celtic along with the guy who played with Queens Park Connell I think it is, Paterson confirmed at the playoffs that he would be leaving Celtic and never got offered a deal so we won’t need to pay compo and he’s defo out of contract

You can keep repeating that as often as you want, it doesn't make it true.

Let’s be real here Liam Dick is a championship relegation fodder/League 1 level Left Back nowhere near good enough for top end championship and there was reason why he wasn’t McGlynns first choice from what I’ve seen anyway on socials etc
