I'm starting to think that Murray is unaware that Tom Lang is actually injured and will be for some time yet.

It's the only reason I can think of for his somewhat laid back approach to signing a centre back.

Got a feeling the back 4 for Saturday will be Millen, Berra, Dick and Young as this is the only fit back 4 we could realistically play or you could put Masson in there next to Berra if need be

This is spot on. I 100% do no expect us to get promoted this season. McGlynn is a very good appointment for where we are however the guys not a miracle worker and has been left with a lot of very poor players bulking out or wage bill who are not good enough.

I know it’s difficult as we are all very frustrated but we need to be patient and give him time to introduce his own players and philosophy which won’t happen overnight.

I expect us to make progress and improve this season which given the shite we’ve endured since Hartley joined is a move in the right direction.

McGlynn works well with a tight budget (unless things are that bad at Falkirk financially) he might struggle in his first season but he will at least get playoffs, his use of the loan market is also a strong point of his, he does have a few mental wild cards Ie Mendy and Riley-Snow….

The thing I’d be worried about the most is his use of strikers he signed a load of strikers for us and only 2 hit 10+ goals Duku and Poplatnik but he does get more right than wrong

Not so much getting it wrong. He just copies whatever the Red tops have on their transfer updates page and passes it off like he's in the loop. He's stopped with some of the Wilder shouts.

I was tempted to put something on here about Mark Stewart coming back to us as a player coach just to see if it got spewed back out in 15 minutes.

True, but I did see before he deleted the tweet that Brad was Defo off to Falkirk and that he agreed to sign and also made up a story about Imrie to Hamilton etc

Max Currie is still without a club…

Thomson might want away for a variety of reasons, he seems more focused on his coaching, maybe he wants to spend more time doing that, if he does want away and we can get another guy in easily I don’t see the controversy.

I’m sure Currie signed for queen of the south last week

Not expecting a world beater but we've had plenty of signings before who have come in to reactions of frustration only to do really well. The main concern I've got is that he's coming in on the back of an injury hampered season down south. It's a two year deal, so Murray clearly has faith that he won't have any issues.

The reactions have mainly come from the Killie fans tbh, they don’t like him said by a few people because of his father apparently he’s a right C.U.N.T and so is Ross according to them

  6. Been scrolling through the twitter and some people are saying why Killie fans don’t rate him was because of his father being an arse apparently and that Millen made a few mistakes and gave away a few goals (which everyone does)

but we can’t judge him until we’ve seen him in a rovers shirt and if he keeps injury free and with a run of games and learns from Berra we will never know how this will turn out

  7. Was at starks park today to get my nephew his season ticket and saw a few players one of them never seen before (could be trialist) wearing the No4 training kit, never take the training numbers as gospel, just a bit of info, it wasn’t Millen or Paterson as I would’ve recognised them

It seems to be increasingly common. I don't know if they're being utilised more often or if teams are just publicising them more (for whatever reason?) but it does seem odd. Morton have just announced four pre-season friendlies, three of which are behind closed doors.

Is it maybe a case of being able to use "looser" rules than an official friendly? Unlimited trialists or rolling subs or whatever? I've no idea what the rules are but it does seem odd to be turning paying punters away.

Aye that is strange, yes it’s pre season but that extra bit cash coming into clubs could be helpful
