  1. I have to say, I am really excited about having MB in charge of us at the minute. I personally wanted a more experienced head in charge (McCall if he got binned, or McCann), but I am really happy with how we have ended up. I know things are ridiculously early, but to me you can already see a huge difference in terms of our fitness. MB being ruthless and getting (or trying) to get rid of the absolute jobbers in our team is a positive sign, and the way he communicates, as well as his recruitment (Dabrowski and Brydon especially) look as though they will make a big difference. Think the season is too far gone for play offs unfortunately. For me, it is between us, Alloa and Edinburgh City for that fourth spot (with Dunfermline, Falkirk and Airdrie nailed down as top three). I can see Alloa scraping into that last spot personally. But, I would feel optimistic next year in this division (especially if Falkirk go up, and say a Hamilton/Arbroath come down). Remember Martindale saying when MB took the job he was surprised he never got a Championship gig, here's hoping a summer where he can get his own players in will see us up challenging for the league and (hopefully) get back into the Championship.
  2. He’s lost all his pace from his first spell with us. He was a brilliant striker for Championship level during that time, but as he’s got older I think he’s just got a loss less effective.
  3. He was holding on to the ball too long for me. Also thought he was hiding, he’d go stand behind a man then ask for the ball. He kept taking the ball of Dabrowski with his back to goal in the first half as well, and by the time he took a touch to turn he had a man on him. Just found him really frustrating, not been the player he was last season anytime I’ve seen him this season.
  4. Need to enjoy him while we can, will get a much bigger club for next season I’d imagine.
  5. Was impressed with Muir thought he grew into the game after a shaky start. Dabrowski and Cochrane by far our two best players. Was confused how Todd wasn’t hooked as I thought he was the worst player on the park.
  6. It must be because Reilly will be on more money we are trying to get rid of him, because he’s not a worse footballer than Ruth for sure.
  7. I really don't understand (most) Queens fans attitude to this Cup. We can't realistically get far in the League Cup or Scottish Cup, and we haven't been challenging for a league anytime recently, this is the only chance we have to win something.
  8. I do think a few more also need to get told they can leave as well. In an ideal world I think I would move on Murray, Irvine and Ruth as well as bringing in another striker on loan. We are a Paton injury away from ending our (very small) play-off hopes.
  9. Think that’s harsh on Connelly. It seems as though he’s not had a run of 4/5 starts in a row to really get his season going, yet he’s still scored a few in the season when he’s came off the bench. Think he was treated as a bit of a scapegoat under WG to be honest.
  10. Airdrie 4-0 Clyde Alloa 2-1 Peterhead Dunfermline 1-0 Montrose Kelty 1-2 Falkirk Queens 2-0 Edinburgh City
  11. Very good shot stopper, came for crosses. If I remember right the only thing I thought he could improve on was his kicking. Was gutted when we didn’t resign him last summer.
  12. I think the dislike for McKenna comes from the fact he played in WG’s position when he clearly shouldn’t have been. I said at the start of the season that not having an aggressive centre half was going to hurt us, which is why I wanted us to get a defender like Broadfoot or Muirhead (think we tried for both), but not getting a defender like that and the fact we had an inept goalkeeper has killed us most games this season. For next season, I’d only be offering East a new deal (and Dabrowski, but he’ll surely get better offers) and letting the rest of the defence leave at the end of the year. As you say though, moving on Paul McKay might be a struggle.
  13. Granted I don’t get too as many games because I live in Glasgow, but McKenna gets an awful amount of stick in comparison to what the McKay’s seem to get. I have sympathy for McKenna because he’s playing out of position and think he’s semi-competent as a centre half, the same can’t be said for the other two…
  14. What’s Cancar like? And are we allowed two loans from the same club?
  15. Him and Josh Rae are by some distance the best keepers in the league for me.
  16. Daily Record saying we are trying to get Cammy Logan (right back) who spent first half of season at Kelty
  17. Alan Lithgow just been released by Morton, there’s an experienced centre half. (Hope to f**k we don’t sign him after his previous conviction)
  18. Good I’m glad, was worried he’d not been picked for other reasons.
  19. MB said on Saturday everyone was fully fit apart from Morrison and Wilson
  20. No Connelly in squad today, wouldn’t be surprised to see him away unfortunately.
