If Wullie can’t play, I’d play the back 3 like we have and have McKechnie in Wullie’s RWB role. Team I’d pick - Fox, D. McKay, East, McKenna, McKechnie, Hendrie, Wilson, Todd, Connelly (if fit), Reilly and Paton
How do you rate your teams start out of 10?
3/10
How safe is your manager’s job?
Safe because he is also our best player, I think he’ll get the whole season in charge.
Best performance?
FC Edinburgh at home
Worst performance?
Dunfermline at home as a 90 minutes, but worst 45 mins was Airdrie at Palmerston
Best player?
Ian Wilson and Euan East - would be our manager if he picked himself every week.
Which opposition side/player has impressed you?
Airdrie for the way they try to play football. I think they have the best starting 11 in the league when everyone is fit but are miles off it in terms of squad depth. Gallagher of Airdrie seems a good finisher at this level. Benedictus of Dunfermline also must surely be the best centre half in the league.
Where will your team finish?
3rd or 4th, still a long way to go.
I thought this goal was Paton’s fault at the time. I was really disappointed with his attitude when he came on, he didn’t make enough of an effort to track his man here and attempt to stop the cross, but how easy it is to find an Airdrie body in the box is a shambles
I think Wilson has been our best player this season, all I was pointing out was that he had a shocker in the first half, he improved a lot in the second.
He’s showing for the ball the whole time, and effectively doing the work of two because Wilson has been miles off it, I’ve seen ships turn quicker than he does today
Would like to see Connelly come in for Reilly for todays game. I know he scored last week but don’t think Reilly has been getting involved as much as he should in general play, will be interesting to see whether Wullie starts him after it’s been highlighted earlier this week.
If it is and we are beaten again (because we've looked particularly shit with a back 3) then he gets all the criticism he deserves I'm afraid. It's already bordering on Einstein's theory of insanity.
Did we not go to a back three against Dunfermline second half and looked a bit better? But yeah the constant chopping and changing of formation surely isn’t going to bode well, as well as leaving our best player Connelly on the bench.
I heard the debt was only to be written off as an arrangement if the new stand was named the Blount stand due to the money the family has put in to pay for it. How true that is I don’t know
I’ve heard they wouldn’t even want money for it if they could find someone to take over tomorrow, how much is exactly owed to the directors I’m not too sure. The club certainly owes money to Blount though
The “new manager bounce” I’m sure we would have achieved under any new manager. The guy is an absolute moron never mind his abilities as a manager, he had a good run of 12 games under us largely due to Issiah Jones and got rewarded with a new 2 year deal despite being utter pish for all the other games of his tenure. Never even minding his constant negativity and moaning about budgets etc. The guy has underachieved wherever he’s been and still clings on to our League One winning season where we walked the league against part timers (and rightly so with the team we had).
Morton who have less season ticket holders than us and don’t have two penny’s to rub together? Yes the board made the right appointment with Imrie, but I wouldn’t use morton as an example of a successful ownership
If you can name one interested party who actually wants to take the club on then fair enough. If there was anyone it would have happened already after the relegation, it’s not exactly the most lucrative area of business owning a local football team at the minute. The board have already expressed they would be willing to step aside if someone is willing to take over, but yet here we are..
