Hope to see a team of - Botterill, Houston, Ambrose, McLelland, Church, Cochrane, Minmaugh, Connelly, Gibson, McKechnie, Reilly. Don’t want too see Todd, Logan or McKay after last weeks performance.

I don’t know why I said “so far” regarding McGuffie as that’s the first game I’ve been too this season as I’ve been on holiday. If that’s the best he’s played that’s concerning to say the least. Botterrill was getting some stick on the terracing as well which I thought was a bit uncalled for.

Hopefully we have Ambrose, Connelly, Gibson and Church starting from the off next week. Really don’t like the look of McGuffie so far and thought Todd, Logan and Mckay were awful. After a shambles of a first half I noticed a huge difference in McLelland when he had Ambrose beside him though.

No idea how Logan made it out for the second half today

Any update on any incomings player wise? And are we likely to get one in before Saturday?

Really want an experienced centre half, would love Mulgrew but don’t think that would be realistic due to the wages he’d be wanting.

We ended the season in a 3-5-2 with a wingback/winger partnering him upfront, so I think he’d be fine. We were pretty terrible last year so I’d imagine if you are like the team you were last year he will score you goals.

I have my doubts about him. His goal tally with us could have at least had another 7/8 on with the amount of sitters he missed. But you can obviously look at that two ways, either the positive spin that he’s always in position for those chances or he’s just not clinical enough. I thought the same about Connor Shields when he moved up a level after a year with us, I think in an ideal world he plays another season at League One before making the next step, after all time is on his side with him still only being 22.

Yeah I agree fully. I worry for us if we don’t bring in more experience throughout the team (particularly at centre half) for the season. As I said though, MB’s recruitment in January was decent so got to hope he can do the same again, regardless if we have doubts over it currently…

Not too difficult is it. Not questioning MB as a coach but his recruitment this summer seems questionable, his good recruitment in January though makes me feel slightly better about it
