  1. Why bother even replying and saying that? You just look like a bitter wee dafty. His TV worked absolutely fine.
  2. East Stand is an utter shambles. 2000 season tickets. Queues half up the car park.
  3. George Hunter was a wild punt even compared to anyone at the likes of Brechin. Hunter hadn't even reached the Spartans first time. Although I guess he wasn't signed for the first time at Saints either so not a direct comparison.
  4. I can't help but get a bit excited about the idea of that kind of signing. (If he starts being linked in Jan). Big step up though Who doesn't enjoy the lad who's fell down the leagues a bit but stuck at it, worked hard to get better and get another opportunity?! As long as he's not a flop that is. I also respond to if your "If Simon Murray can make a living" with "If Theo Bair can..."
  5. It's got to be worth Levein's while as well. He'd probably not be willing to give up his current relatively stress free jobs on radio etc he has now for a contract to the end of the season for example.
  6. Is Levein part of the Radio Scotland boys club now though? If so won't he be exempt from criticism! They didn't dare criticise the depressive stuff produced by Davidson either. 3-0 defeat to Livi with zero shots on goal. "Ohhh it's a tough job".
  7. Max had played away to St. Mirren recently and did alright and he's been consistently a 6-10 performer this season never brilliant but not shite either. He battles away and wins possession quite often in midfield for a wee guy. Can't quite workout where he should be playing longer term though... Wide? Central? His issue has been going forward. Not creating much and seems to want that extra second on the ball all the time which results in him losing it now and again.
  8. Football fans are the biggest knickerwetters on the planet Only in relation to football can grown adults have complete breakdowns on a weekly basis. It's fine if people don't agree with the manager choice but the exclamations of it'll be a guaranteed disaster are over the top as well. It's football, there is no guarantee it'll be a success but there's also no guarantee it'll be a disaster either. Get behind the guy - there is zero point crying about it!
  9. It used to be a common practice. Alex Ferguson's assistant was responsible for most of the training for example. Its something i've been ranting about regarding Saints for a while. More so under Davidson but.... its all good and well aiming to play passing football etc but having the likes of Gordon and Considine taking the ball constantly from the keeper is painful. Clubs just drop deep and wait for the ball to be gifted back to them. Saints need to play to the strength's of the players they have, not a managers philosophy!
  10. It used to be a common practice. Alex Ferguson's assistant was responsible for most of the training for example.
  11. Levein played a part him in initially signing for Saints. Involved in him going on loan to Brechin as well. Levein also named him when asked who he thought was a good incoming talent about a year ago. Levein is a big fan!
  12. Levein described Max recently as one of the biggest prospects in Scottish football. He absolutely loves him and believe he was involved in getting him a move to Saints originally. He was definitely involved in his loan move to Brechin. Manager & head coach situation maybe? It used to be a fairly common that the assistant did nearly all the training ground stuff.
  13. Nor am I. Pretty much hate it. Exactly that though if you're going to spout a strong opinion on something doing so while not having the slightest clue isn't how you should go about it. One of my more frustrating gripes with it is also the lie that was told initially "teething problems". Nothing has changed. The referee still stands pushing the ear piece into his ear for minute after minute while we are all standing there like plums trying to guess what's going on. I'm going to refrain from ranting about the use of it with the still images, slow-mo's etc as well
  14. hOw cAn ThEy TeLl FrOm tHaT cAmErA aNgLe???!!! Quite a few tweets from dafty wee Da' cSC accounts with hundreds of likes saying exactly that. It would help if they had the slightest understanding about how these things work. Are people honestly that stupid that they honestly believe the lines are drawn manually each time and the VAR official guesses it's straight based on that still imagine? Come on, you're having me on? I don't know why they don't re explain AGAIN how it works instead of letting the wee dafty Internet muppets spread falsehoods that the VAR official is drawing a with a crayon while blindfolded.
  15. Robinson was indeed very good. Armstrong never got the better of him once. He's defensively miles ahead of both Gallagher and Booth. Offensively none of them offer much. That's why you play wingers in front. Anyone saying he didn't play well though isn't a case of a difference of opinion, it's just wrong.
  16. Not over the moon with it myself but I think Craig's recent track record isn't quite as bad as McGee. McGee's recent managerial record isn't pretty. If we trust Wikipedia that is. The 9 & 7% win rates stick out somewhat!! Levein's way of playing probably fits a club like Saints a bit better than Hearts.
  17. I'm not ITK whatsoever but I think that's exactly what Kyle was implying with his Kirk reference just took me 5 hours to get it. Heard the rumour too and did wonder whether he'd want to bring anyone from Brechin to work with him... So makes sense.
  18. He's still a better option than the likes of Charlie Mulgrew or Dean Sheils
  19. I'm less keen on Levein in general. Just stinks of one of the old football boys in Scotland with the likes of Hughes, Collins etc. Saying that though he is likely to take things back to basics and attempt to play to the strength's of players we actually have rather than attempting to force them into playing in a way they're not good enough to do. He's also not going to slaughter the players quite so aggressively in the press nor moan about lack of budget in the press either. Is he not quite pragmatic though and more a Davidson type of "keep it tight, dont lose an early goal, lets get to half time 0-0 and try and nick a goal with 20 mins to go. ". Being a Saints manager you obviously at times do need to be pragmatic but using last nights example, that game was won due to a positive mindset from the off. Although such is football it could well go very well under him. Who knows! Yeah he's not going to give up his job at Brechin and the BBC so he can spent 8 months at Saints either. Its hardly an opportunity of a lifetime!! We do need someone on the football side that will try to structure the "bigger picture" but levein has shown he struggles to not be a complete control freak, certainly based on him going into the Hearts dressing room etc when he was not the manager. Also COULD be somewhat pointless in building a better structure off the field etc for it to be torn to bits in 18 months when the club is bought to be a Burnley's feeder club!
  20. Yes. To the point I just won't read the banter page. I'd just end up telling him exactly what I think of the shite he waffles.
