He hardly savaged the team. He was right to point out the poor defending. He also said he backed the players as they’ve given him 100% all season. Nah I have seen him being dominant. Im not disagreeing Ashcroft is more dominant in the air but he is far more deficient. I agree Joe has been shaky recently. However, that doesn’t detract from how influential he’s been on the team. He’s played a ridiculous amount of minutes and it has definitely shown. As others have said hopefully that won’t be an issue going forward. You clearly don’t rate him as much as others, fair enough.

I’ve lost count of the amount of games Shaughnessy has headed everything out the box. Surprised some are saying they haven’t seen that. That would certainly add even more to the derbies. It’s an interesting one. I think he’d be a good fit for Utd and Utd for him. However, he’s doing very well with Killie and I’m not convinced he’d jump into the current set up at Tannadump. Goodwin surely won’t last even with promotion? That Utd side is probably the most expensively assembled championship squads since rangers, hearts, hibs were in the championship and it’s arguably a poorer league than even last season with clubs losing a lot of players to the top flight. I still think you’ll win the league though.

Also Cameron’s desire to make himself available for the ball is such a strength to the team. He’s so comfortable in possession. Costelloe also looked good today I thought. If the Doc can build on this, we’ll be some side next season.

Sylla was phenomenal. Gonna become a cult hero with the fans. He’s so calm on the ball, an absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Donnelly was superb too. Good finishes from Tiffoney and Carson made an incredible save at 0-0. Great time to be a Dee. Doc is a proper manager.

It would be close but the Premiership sides are certainly more imposing and physical.
