  1. Would take McMann, Wotherspoon and Mochrie from that list all 3 would be good signings especially Wotherspoon as we badly need a link between midfield and attack which we haven't really had since Stephen Kelly.
  2. Murdoch signed a 2 year deal with a 1 year option in 2022 and Amartey signed a 1 year deal with a 1 year option last summer so I presume both options have been activated.
  3. While I do agree overall that with the right people in charge it is without a doubt possible for a newly promoted club to be competitive in the Premiership, this really isn't the best example. They have a new manager and a completely different squad compared to last season, as well as a fairly competitive budget. Meanwhile Livi built on what they had and managed to remain competitive on a small budget through smart recruitment. I personally think that about 4-5 quality signings are needed if you're newly promoted and want to compete. If you look at us in 2018 we had a decent core of a squad although with some weaknesses. That summer we signed Harvie, Smith, Murdoch and Doohan, all 4 were great players at Championship level which allowed us to compete rather than just treading water at the bottom. Fingers crossed for some news regarding a retained list either tomorrow or Tuesday and some positive news on the transfer front soon, I don't think there will be a lot between most sides next season so some positive business done early could make the difference
  4. I think in the build up to McRoberts’ goal he slipped when the ball was played through to Tomlinson. He seemed to stay on the ground after slipping which allowed the goal to happen. Didn’t think anything was wrong after that until he went down after the third goal.
  5. Dunfermline have made a 6th sub so it must’ve been a concussion
  6. Is McGinty not under contract? Also I think there will be a few youth players included in that figure such as Jenkins and Viviani, absolutely no chance all of those players leave.
  7. Have heard that 11 players will be released (including loans although obviously they aren't ours to release) this window. Of course there are a few obvious ones there like Albinson and a few youth players but not sure who the others could be. Thought that it was quite a large number but factoring in loans and players under contract such as Rose and McGeady who will probably be away it seems about right. Would at least be a positive start to the window if we could get rid of most of the deadwood and allow Brown to get his own players in.
  8. Ayr 2-1 Dunfermline Dundee 3-0 Partick ICT 1-2 Morton QP 3-1 Airdrie Raith 3-0 Arbroath
  9. Quite nervous for tomorrow but also strangely confident that we'll get a result, although reckon the best we'll get is a draw which would leave us dependent on other results to stay up. I do think we'll stay up but it's definitely going to the final day, don't see Dunfermline or Arbroath doing us a favour. Even if Syla is back I'd stick with the 4-4-1-1. Let McKenzie run about and press the defence and give Willoughby some space. Worked well in the last game v Partick.
  10. New hospitality + Cup tie money + Better ground experience overall with the new stand + Potential increase in attendences = In all seriousness if we get over the line this season and have a good summer window there's no reason why we shouldn't be in the top 4 this time next year, the league will be tougher with Falkirk coming up with a bit of momentum as well as Livingston who I think we won't know if they will go for promotion until nearer the season starts but we've shown we can give most sides half a game even with a limited squad. A win on Saturday and I'll be really looking forward to next season for the first time since about 2018!
  11. Airdrie 1-2 Dundee Utd Arbroath 0-1 QP Dunfermline 1-1 ICT Morton 0-1 Raith Partick 2-2 Ayr
  12. To be fair Bryden started wide right in the home game v Partick under Brown and put in a decent shift, although I'd rather have Amartey there over him or Chalmers as I do think he strikes a balance of tracking back and attacking threat that the other 2 don't.
  13. Would take a point here which should be enough to get over the line, obviously with Graham to score for Partick against us like he always does. Clarke Stanger Sanders McGinty Musonda Amartey Dempsey McHugh Murphy McKenzie Willoughby With Dowds unable to play and McAllister suspended the team pretty much picks itself imo. Only real debate is Chalmers over Amartey but Chalmers would be much better coming on as a sub.
  14. I think a loss for Inverness or a loss or draw for Queens Park next week would see us safe regardless of our result v Partick, but a set of results that take it to the final day and make things a bit nervy is more than "highly unlikely" to happen imo.
  15. Just realised that an Ayr loss/draw, an Inverness win, and a Queen's Park win next week would leave the table as: Dunfermline 43 Ayr 42/43 Inverness 41 QP 40 On the last day Inverness play Morton who have nothing to play for, Queens Park play Airdrie who will likely rest players ahead of the playoffs, while we play Dunfermline who themselves wouldn't be safe under this scenario I do think we'll stay up although it's now looking likely that it will go to the final day.
  16. McKenzie in for Amartey. Potentially a 4-3-3 with McKenzie in the middle and Murphy and Willoughby out wide, or a 4-4-1-1 with McKenzie wide right.
  17. Dowds POTY Stanger YPOTY Stuck between Chalmers v Raith and Murphy v Dundee Utd for goal of the season though.
  18. Walton McMillan Gallagher Holt McMann Fotheringham Docherty Stanton Easton Paton Moult Honorable Mentions: Dabrowski, Vaughan, Milne, Graham, Dowds, Chalmers No Airdrie players in here despite some picks for Frizzell and Megwa. Neither have looked up to much when they played against us. Put Paton in ahead of Graham as 16 goals in a poorer team is more impressive.
  19. No he didn't. He hasn't played a single minute for us. Think he got about 45 mins in a reserve game but that's it.
  20. ICT 1-1 Raith Arbroath 1-2 Morton Dundee Utd 3-1 Ayr Dunfermline 2-1 QP Partick 3-2 Airdrie
  21. He signed a two year extension last summer so is under contract until 2025. As for the talk about Chalmers I would definitely try to get him permanently this summer but he's definitely not worth breaking the bank for. If his demands are too much just move on.
  22. Ayr beat Arbroath on Saturday Queens Park beat Inverness on Saturday Raith beat Inverness next Friday Leaves Ayr P33 on 42 points Leaves Inverness P34 on 35 points We'd therefore be safe as we would be 7 clear of them with them only having 6 more points to play for.
