  1. Who cares how we won the game? We've guaranteed playoffs and in pole position for 2nd place. Good luck next season, Alloa.
  2. This. I burnt about 3 layers of skin off my leg trying to slide tackle someone faster than me. Brilliant surface though.
  3. Apologise for nothing. The RaithTV team do a great job, widely appreciated.
  4. That's the biggest thing I took from watching the Pars last night; nobody willing to put their foot on the ball and pick out a decent pass. I'd also add rushed to your scared description.
  5. I hope if Hendry decides to go elsewhere that he doesn't get the same personal shit that Murray and Nisbet both received. As much as he clearly loves the club, he'll ultimately do what he deems the best for himself. He owes us nothing.
  6. Our pishy wee support have you beelin every derby thread ya fat ding.
  7. I posted about it in here too but there's discussion on the match thread.
  8. How sweet that would be after all the shit they gave us pre-season. Unfortunately can't see it happening.
  9. A bit of complacency creeping in to some of our fanbase by the look of things. Arbroath, despite their league position, are more than capable of giving us grief. We're a really good side at the moment but I'm never comfortable with the assumption that we'll easily roll teams over.
  10. Instigated the funniest part of the show when the panel were speculating about his wife's suspicions about the sugar cubes though. Craig Brown is a brilliant after dinner speaker. Tells a great story about Joe Jordan or Derek Johnstone competing with an Argentinian kid at keepy uppys.
  11. Aye. Incredibly shitty behaviour. You think you'd be doing all you could to make a young fan feel good on his big day instead of making a c**t of them.
  12. Think we paid 750k. It's a great surface, just don't slide tackle on it when it hasn't been sprayed.
  13. It was an excellent interview. Funny hearing about how Graham and Bairdy were going to batter each other at half time. GOAL! Best pals. Graham came across as a right likeable boy.
  14. The Pars won't come up against a performance like that again for a while. An absolute pumping from beginning to end. I couldn't believe the amount of time and space Crawford afforded us in the middle of the pitch. Most of our midfielders would stroll into any team in this league and a fair number in the league above yet he's invited them to get comfortable on the ball and pass the heid aff his side. He simply had no response to SJM's tactics and excellent coaching and I can fully understand why most Dunfermline supporters want him gone ASAP.
  15. I saw the manager that day and practically begged him to come back but from what I've heard since I'm certain his two hats were already in the ring by then. Last nights performance is in the top 5 Rovers displays I've seen and I was lucky enough to watch us in the early 90's.
  16. I'm sure Paton contacted a Pars supporter who was going through a hard time to wish him well etc. Quite surprising reading this thread to see him generally regarded as a fud.
  17. I was a mascot for the Rovers when I was 10. I was a big lanky kid and had newborn giraffe style legs that I was really conscious of. Even more so when I heard Philip Burn make a comment about how skinny I was. I can laugh about it now but it totally ruined my day and exacerbated my lack of confidence. Met John Spencer in the tea room at Stark's and he was a top man. One of those folk you take to instantly. Saw him at Airdrie a few weeks later and he was over talking about how the game went. Good guy. Big Nando Mendy has to be the friendliest player in world football. Just pipping Marvin Andrews.
  18. I agree that missing out now would be hugely disappointing but simply maintaining our Championship status should definitely be seen as success. Gives us a solid base to improve our weaknesses and have a right go at going up next season when we shouldn't have a side like Hearts winning the league at a canter.
  19. I think we're quite happy with small steps after spending time in League 1. The majority of Rovers supporters would have been happy just to stay in the league at the beginning of the season. We've put a good squad together and currently look good for the promotion playoffs but even if we just fall short I think the season would go down as a success with regards to the progression made.
  20. Just had a wee stab at fishing. What was he doing in the last 20 minutes? He's been excellent for us.
  21. No need for that. He simply took the opportunity to play for a bigger, better club and has more than justified his place.
  22. I was just thinking about this the other day. There's definitely a lot more people going about the town with Rovers gear on than I ever saw when I was younger. The OF were very dominant in the town back then but there seems to have been a shift.
