  1. Aye, Queens players will be heading to Tynecastle, seriously doubt that they'll enjoy it though!
  2. If you're suggesting that Ray's personal hygiene is somewhat questionable then I think you're being very unfair on the smelly b*****d!
  3. With the squad that he's building I think he'll find it very difficult not to win the league. Surely to Christ he can't adopt a safety first policy with those players in that league? Would be funny as f**k if he did and didn't win it though!
  4. I know everyone's getting a bit excited but what do we really know about some of the squad? We know what we'll get from Dixon, the Millers, Gomis, Alston & Connolly but we're really in the dark about Mercer, Morrison, Keena, Dowds, Sneddon & Lafferty. Hall, Durnan, Todd & Leitch are splitting opinion and may, or may not be good enough while we have Telfer and Sammon who I don't think anyone wants near the team. Hopefully just me being my pessimistic self, but time will tell.
  5. If the season was about to start I'd certainly agree, however, I wonder if it was a bit of a panic signing as they didn't know who they were going to get in at that point? Having now signed Morrison and Alston they may feel that they've got a bit of leeway in trying to move Telfer on? I'm just speculating of course and, being in and around the club regularly, I'm sure you'll have a better idea than me.
  6. How do you know Alston's a Dunfermline fan, given he was born in Kirkcaldy? (although maybe that's where the nearest maternity unit is?)
  7. I think the pressure's off a bit now regarding new signings as we seem to have a 1st 11 sorted. I wonder if that may encourage them to try to move the likes of Telfer and Sammon on (perhaps to Ray's QP revolution, considering he seems to rate them) and maybe put Leitch and Sneddon out on loan? That would give them the room to bring another few in toward the end of the window when there may be some better quality available.
  8. Cause we'll be back in lockdown for a month. It's just forward planning.
  9. He was asked about the Aberdeen/Celtic Covid debacle then about the premier games played last night. What was he asked about us? f**k all! Why he was at Ibrox at the time is anybody's guess though.
  10. Blair Alston's a very good player. I'm sure he would love to be back playing at the team he was most appreciated by and knowing that the fans would get right behind him from the off. Money talks of course but I think we would have a good chance of getting him if we can get anywhere near his best offer.
  11. Thought Toshney was better, even though his legs are made of glass!
  12. Whilst Bairnando can sometimes be quite scathing and sarcastic, it's usually done in a somewhat humorous fashion. This time, he's either pished or being a bit of a knob. I really hope it's the former!
  13. Aye, I'm sure it had the bukta emblem running down the sleeves. I remember wilson hoggan wearing it so that must have been during his 2nd spell with us
  14. Different types of player for sure, but I preferred Nelson who they've just let go.
  15. Quite agree. We definitely need another CD, striker and back-up goalie so I hope they don't neglect those areas in favour of signing more midfielders. Having said that, if the money was there, I'd be happy to see the likes of Grant coming in, in order to build for the future as neither Miller or Gomis are getting any younger. With the virus likely to make a comeback, the decisions to be made with regard to finance are going to be very difficult.
  16. Problem is that we have Gary Miller, who's just been made captain, as our 1st choice defensive mid and Gomis, who's had his contract extended as back-up. Can't see why we would go for another holding player that being the case much as I'd like to see it. On the other hand we have Telfer re-signed, which is a bit of a mystery, along with the relatively untried Leitch and Todd and young Laverty as attacking-mid options so we could certainly do with more options in that area, finances permitting.
  17. Did he ever play in a more forward/creative role and, if so, was he any good?
  18. My impression of Grant is that he's more of a holding midfielder which we don't need as we already have Miller and Gomis. We need an Alston or Keillor-Dunn type but I don't think we'll go for another midfielder at all unless, as someone said, Leitch or Laverty go out on loan. I'd actually like Laverty to be involved this season to see if he's any good.
  19. Hmph! Thought that would keep everyone entertained for a wee while. Clearly not!
