  1. PJ Mercer Durnan Dixon Kelly Miller Morrison Alston Connelly/Todd/Leitch/Laverty/Deveney/ Sneddon Dowds Francis
  2. I still chuckle when I think about Foster shitting himself from big Showunmi that time.
  3. I'm struggling to remember any crosses that he struggled with, unless it was when I went to answer the phone!
  4. I think that'll very much depend on the injury situation. Alston will stay central now I would think, especially if Connolly gets back. I think part of the problem is that Gomis is a player that can be depended on whereas the likes of Leitch, Todd and Telfer, not so much so there must be a temptation to shoehorn him in somewhere, especially in the more difficult away games.
  5. I think if he manages 7/10 every week I'd be delighted. I think he's capable at this level but I don't think we're ever going to see him have a stormer or tearing teams apart down the flank or anything like that. I don't feel there's a lot of improvement to come from him so, as you say, a steady performance every week would do fine.
  6. We could put you in touch with a certain Mr Mark Campbell if you want?
  7. I thought EF were very disappointing today, didn't really try to get at us until we made our substitutions and, given how shaky Hall was at that point, they'll be wondering why they didn't put us under a bit more pressure beforehand. I thought we were okay but I wasn't as impressed as Sammy was in the commentary. Alston showed that he can run a game at this level and should hopefully only get better now as he gains more fitness. I don't think there's much quality up front in Dowds and Francis although they both work hard. Francis needs to learn to attack the ball and stop waiting for it to come to him. Mercer's quite a tidy player and had a solid game today as did Durnan and Hall (until late on). Dixon was fine, Leitch needs to try to get more involved whilst Morrison can overdo things sometimes. Miller doesn't seem to be as imposing as last season and got caught a few times today although he played alright generally. I think we'll need to improve again to get something next week. Hopefully maybe Connelly, Gomis and Keena might be in the mix?
  8. Not wanting to get into a slagging match mate but, just wondering what you're on about?
  9. I asked the same question on Twitter. Could it be Roddy Manley? Too young? I feel like I'm going to kick myself. Definitely not Manley.
  10. Who's that between Stainrod and Tawio promoting the 50/50 draw on FTV?
  11. Ach well, it's reassuring to see that you're not blaming the current incumbents for our loan failures (apart from one), so, hopefully they'll be able to make 4 decent loans in January and we'll get promoted.
  12. Not it isn't. Never mind though, if this is keeping you happy, you batter on!
  13. No, McManus wasn't shite mate. I didn't say that yours were no better either. I said that I couldn't see how Shadwell could say that you got better value from yours which, considering they scored 11 league goals between them, isn't such a crazy suggestion, is it. As I said, reading skills...
  14. I didn't say they were poor and I didn't say that McMillan was any good for us either. I'm merely trying to disprove your assertion that Falkirk are failures in the loan market while Raith Rovers and 'other teams in this division' are very good at it. Trying to say we can't utilise the loan market while using McManus as an example is pretty poor TBH. As per usual, you're just trying to jump on a negative to highlight how bad you think we are. As other folk have said too, we've plenty of examples of good loans over the past few seasons. Burgoyne, Rudden, McManus, DKD, Nelson, Jakubiak, all guys who did well for us. Don't suppose they count though?
  15. I didn't say they were shite loans though, did I? Reading, or lack of it, not your strong point then?
  16. Sorry mate, wasn't asking you about the choice between loans or signings, I was replying to Shadwell. The Telfer thing is a bit strange, I would have punted him too, so I would presume that it's something to do with the deal he was on? The Killie lad was a strange one too I thought. Maybe the Kelly deal didn't look too likely at the time and they panicked a bit, who knows? Hopefully it's resulted in us having a good left back and a young lad who may offer some energy and pace down the left though? Here's hoping.
  17. Doesn't mean we should be loaning players in instead of signing them now though. Incidentally, Gullan scored 9 in the league last season while Mclean scored 2. McManus scored 19 and McMillan scored 4, so I can't see how you think Raith got better value for their loans?
  18. I'm not going to go and count but I'm assuming that you're including Spittal in that? He wouldn't have been signed if Glass hadn't been injured so you can knock that one off the total maybe? We've loaned two so we have obviously used the market. The decision though, it seems, has been made to sign our own rather than have too many loans so I don't see anything wrong with that. For example, using the names above, would you rather we had signed McPake and Anderson on loan than Morrison and Keena on permanent deals? We've had far too many rebuilding jobs over the past few seasons so, personally, I would want to avoid losing good loan players (e.g. McManus) if that meant we were having to renew the squad again to any great extent.
  19. Well, I hope not because RC fans say that Kelly's not good at defending and Mercer's too slow to play RWB.
  20. I may be wrong but I don't think Durnan got caught out by overrunning the ball into midfield on Saturday. That may have been the first match this season that he hasn't do so however...
