  1. Don't think it's going to happen although, if it does, it's not likely to be our 1st choice.
  2. Hopefully, if and when, this Covid thing is behind us we can allow fans to move from the SS to NS (or vice versa) at half time, away numbers allowing of course. This was something I asked Craig Campbell about before he disappeared and he said he was considering it but that the H&S folk at the club shit themselves when he broached the subject. f**k knows why?!
  3. Behind the wall is near grahamston station and they run a bus to and from the ground (or they used to and assuming they still do)
  4. Hall has been generally sound so far so it'll be harsh to drop him. He has however made mistakes in each game I think and often looks like a disaster waiting to happen, so I'd tend to go with McKay. Having said that, McKay is obviously short of match practice so maybe Hall will get a reprieve?
  5. Can see that coming back to bite us if that's the case. Keena's the only striker of any note that we have on the books IMO. Ideally I'd like any newcomer to be a partner rather than a potential replacement for him.
  6. I think your last paragraph is key, surely to God that's what we all want?
  7. It does look like Nicol got to the ball, you're just not allowed to wipe people out while doing so nowadays though! If that had been John Markie making that challenge in 1968 the ref would have waved play on.
  8. Football was fantastic at times yesterday, really enjoyed it. I thought everyone played their part including Mutch who, despite having absolutely f**k all to do all game, managed to, once again, entertain us with his outstanding ball skills! The only criticism that I have is that we didn't have enough presence in the box; we're creating loads of chances with only Keena available to finish them at times. Someone said earlier that McGuffie was crap, which certainly wasn't the case, however, I would probably drop him in favour of whoever we get in to give Keena a partner.
  9. Reilly's a funny one. He had two really deep purple patches at QOS and St Mirren but hasn't done much at all elsewhere. Maybe it's to do with the system played and Sheerin has identified that he'd fit ours, who knows? Either way, it's about as much as we can expect in our current situation I would say.
  10. Sammy's only 20 and has a lot of development ahead before he'll (hopefully) come good. Wilson's 23 and is probably all the footballer he's going to be, although Sheerin obviously sees something in him so, with a bit of luck, his coaching will bring that out. Sorry for your loss BTW.
  11. And here's the team: Parkes; Nicol, Babtie, Hughes, McQueen; Houston, Latapy, Stainrod; McAllister, McGivern, McWilliams
  12. That's where Sheerin and Grainger's coaching comes in. Of course there are a few who are writing him off without giving him a chance as well as the big Albanian who, IMO, is class and will be a great player in time.
  13. I'll be spooked if it's not done by Halloween!
  14. First live view of the team last night. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 'fringe' players. I thought that Lemon and Krasniqi were excellent given it was there first starts and C Williamson, despite being out of position, and Weekes both showed that they can come in and influence the game too. Ompreon needs a bit of development though although, again, could be a useful sub in games. Martin was good too and should certainly be pushing Mutch for the jersey. Seb Ross was MOM for me though; he was everywhere and took his goal very well. I didn't expect to see him influence the play so much which maybe shows the difference between Sheerin and Hartley? Slight negatives: I lost count of the number of times that Hall got the ball trapped under his feet, could've been punished against better quality opposition. Wilson didn't offer very much, although he was nowhere near as bad as I expected and I thought that he actually looked better when he went wide. Hopefully Nesbitt hasn't picked up an injury as he took a sore one shortly before he went off. Special mention for Keena who looked determined to get a goal, which he took well. Showed his quality when he took the defence out with that one touch with his knee, was great awareness from him. Not getting carried away at all given the opposition although, their claim that they would need to play a team of kids didn't exactly play out when you consider that they had Erskine, Millar and Wylde, to name a few, in the staring line up!
  15. I remember seeing Allison and Arfield stuffing their faces outside a bakers in Motherwell before a match. No idea what Allison's doing now but Scott Arfield has certainly made a very good living out of the game. Funny how things turn out really.
  16. I thought that too. They changed it pretty quickly I think when they realised just how cringe worthy it was!
  17. Aye, maybe that it was it. I know it was a football show though.
  18. I remember a 'new' verison of Scotsport (or was it Sportscene? ) where Speirs ended the programme by playing the piano! Didn't last long! The way he swallows after every other sentence gets on my tits too!
  19. You should really be hoping that Hall plays in every game!
  20. Completely agree. He needs to work on using his physicality more. As far as his weight’s concerned, I don’t think he’s overweight but he looks like one of those guys that would balloon if he stopped training. Bomber Brown springs to mind.
  21. Don't disagree, although he's not what you would call dominant in the air.
