Reina
For me, girls who go to school early (i.e. Jan/Feb birthday and go at age 4) tend to do well, but boys struggle - particularly around S3/4 as they don't have the emotional maturity to cope with the exams. Obviously that's a sweeping generalisation and there are always exceptions, but I find it usually works out that way.
die hard doonhamer
It's Josh's first birthday today. That's been a scarily quick year.
Jacksgranda
It's Josh's first birthday today. That's been a scarily quick year. Wait until Josh's first child has his first birthday, then you'll know all about quick years! Or wait until Josh's first child passes her driving test! RH33
My toddler took a shite in his swimming shorts today, we'd been in pool less than 5 mins Thankfully I got him out the pool without any escaping.

Never done that fortunately. They've both done one in the bath on a couple of occasions though. Steven has a heavy cold again and is struggling a bit. Mrs SD has a chest infection and is struggling a lot. She's been to the doctor but isn't far away from needing extra help with breathing herself. Going to be a crap night I guess, as last night was.

Guest The Phoenix
My grandson bit his tongue yesterday. There's a bit hanging off. Hospital advised it would heal by itself. I can remember biting my tongue lots of times as a kid but never with the force to penetrate the surface. Less than a week to number 2.

Shuggie_Murray7
Can't put a price on safety Aye can and £140 is way over the odds. Just a quick Google search has revealed I could have got one for £87.99 or £59.99

diamonds2002
I am planning on taking Jack swimming for the first time at the weekend. I am slightly concerned about any nappy issues - we purchased some of the swim nappies - are these any good? and a wee pair of swim shorts (aaaawwww!) Any hints or tips from the more experience "responsible" adults would be greatly appreciated.
Reina
The swim nappies don't absorb piss, because if they did, they'd absorb the swimming pool water and be useless anyway. Pools are treated with chemicals so that's not a problem. The nappies are there just to catch any poop that might come out of your wee one's bum. The boy has been swimming almost every week since he was 9 weeks old, and he has NEVER pooped in a swim nappy. I'm more concerned now that he's potty trained and not wearing a swim nappy of course!

If you do shite yourself, blame the wean.
