DomDom
I think if The Hardys didn't come along, they could have done well, but because they did, these two will come across as just second rate Hardys.

Quentin Taranbino
Any idea when wwe stopped doing the dropped arm thing for submissions and instead went to tapping out?
Bert Raccoon
Any idea when wwe stopped doing the dropped arm thing for submissions and instead went to tapping out? Was the dropped arm not for to check if someone was conscious after a move like the sleeper hold?
Quentin Taranbino
Yeah possibly? Makes sense, is it still used then? I can't remember anyone from old WWF ever tapping out

To clarify; Steampingparboz has a tattoo of Robbie Williams on his arm. I'm serious. Edited January 16, 2013 by DA Baracus
Mark Connolly
Yeah possibly? Makes sense, is it still used then? I can't remember anyone from old WWF ever tapping out I remember reading somewhere that Taz (one z) was responsible for tapping out becoming popular in wrestling, having seen it in MMA. I may of course have completely made this up, or believed a pile of nonsense.

honestly united
Tapping out to submission holds has been around for longer than the hand dropping thing. Most submission moves were tap outs, ie figure 4 although some like sleeper were arm drops
Tamdunk
Whenever JBL goes on about Cena, or Ryback having 'God giving ability' in relation to their strength, all I can think about is...
Bert Raccoon
Was just looking through old WWF Magazine covers online and I worked out the first one I ever bought was in January 1991 with Mr Perfect on the cover. It's probably still up at my mothers house somewhere.
DomDom
Right, so Sunday's plans. 1) Head for BOX across the road from The Garage. I love rumbles, so I'll watch anything they show. They start at four, but don't know whether that's when I'm gonna watch them from. I'll probably get there an hour before I start queueing. Just for a wee drink before I head out into the cold. 2) ICW Square Go! where they have their OWN rumble. 450 tickets sold. 150 left. James Scott and Wolfgang sort out their rivalry. 3) WWE Royal Rumble 2013 in The Garage as well. Rumbles coming out of our fucking ears!
