Can't decide where to go though : belfast, Dublin, Southampton - all relatively cheap flights. Newcastle or even Manchester on the train? I've not looked at train prices though, but i don't want a ridiculously long journey. Any advice? Best places for this kind of family break? Or best in terms of price /ease of transport? Liverpool.

pandarilla
Liverpool. Aye, i don't know whether I'd prefer Manchester or Liverpool. Both seem like pretty cool, fixed up modern cities. The train is the only option here. Is it a decent service?
Miguel Sanchez
Why do Aberdonians pronounce the word 'though' as if they're saying 'so' but with a lisp?

If you pick Manchester, it's well easy by train.

Guest Moomintroll
Manchester is easier to get to, but if it is pishing doon, and it will be, then there is more to do in Liverpool over Easter. There is an Irn Bru Carnival style thing at the Exhibition Centre which is next to the Albert Dock area with loads going on there. Use that as a starting point & you won't go far wrong.

Bairnardo
Pork absolutely does not rhyme with fork**Unless you say fork wrongly. Either way if they rhyme you are saying one of them wrongly and deserve serious jail time.

Aye it does, I cannot think of another way of saying them? 1 hour ago, MixuFixit said: There's something weird about the way they make 'ng' sounds to. They can't say 'bank' right for example. Yes we can, it is pronounced 'bunk' the same way as you would pronounce 'punk'
