Go back to the closest version of the team at the start of the season and start playing again. For sure, the playoffs could be a pipedream in a fortnight's time but realistically, the season is just then a lame duck. Paul Smith to caretaker the job through seasons end, with an understanding that he and the CEO will be moving on, another sacrifice to reduce pressure, although that may not work.
