Aye, psychotic men and their crystal fixations.*

I've been working on mine a couple of weeks now, and today I ditched everything I'd already done and started over again. The worst bit is planning what I'm going to say, which I've done, but I bet it all goes right out of my head on Tuesday.

*But not really. It's Gestational Diabetes.

Presentations are hard work.the first one I done I did by hand, because I didn't have a pc then.they turned the lights down and I couldn't read my notes.

If you've already done the slides, don't overload them.put a max of 5 things on them and focus on 2.don't put graphs on if you can help it either, but bar charts are ok.

If you're doing this as a student in front of other students, make sure you promise each other you won't ask any hard questions at the end.

Hope it goes well

Thanks for the advice and good wishes. I might have a glass of wine before I head in there. 11am isn't too early, is it?

If you're doing this as a student in front of other students, make sure you promise each other you won't ask any hard questions at the end.

Or, tell each other which questions you'd like to ask each other beforehand.

I did a group presentation/project a few years ago and two groups were there, and we gave our presentations to each other. We agreed not to ask difficult questions. They did theirs and we all sat there asking banal questions. We did ours and they gilled us. <unts!

Another thing you can do is slip something in but don't explain it fully, knowing it will probably lead to a question so you can anticipate it. I did this in a big presentation last year. The inevitable question came and I forgot what the answer was and just waffled for a couple of minutes. I felt like a complete tit.

Might be hard to say gestational diebetes though :)

ps make sure you have a glass of water handy for the dry mouth effect

Good point. I can shorten it to "GDM" after the initial introduction though. :D

11am at night?

No, 11am Tuesday morning.

I don't know most of the class though, so herein lies my biggest problem. Our class got split into other groups for this one particular subject, and although we've been in our new groups for several weeks, it's quite a big group so there's a good few that I've not spoken to yet.

We've only got 7 minutes for the presentation itself, so there's a good few bits that I only have time to skim over anyway, so hopefully they'll be the bits I get questions on.

I managed to lose around 600GB of data this morning when setting up my new PC.

This would be a PTTGOYN but it's probably a blessing in disguise; most of what was there was ripped DVDs and my organization was absolute rubbish.

Received a letter this morning, and now I've got to go to the hospital in March for an Echocardiogram or something like that. Mum has a high blood pressure and something up with her heart, so I've to go get checked out.

*sigh* :(

this is an excellent strategy particularly if its a debate...."no questions, we'll be finished early.....aye sure...." and then.....:lol: victory is mine!

Better safe than sorry, pal. Dinnae worry about it, it'll just be a precautionary measure. :)
