My grandad spent a few years in the POW camp in Easter Island, but he and his fellow prisoners made a pact not to tell anyone what happened. When I was younger he told me some stories about flying planes for the RAF and such which was pretty cool.

Did he have a long face ?

It's never quite the same when you have to spell attempts at humour out to the intellectually challenged. :P

That would have been a great thing to attend IMO. Someone who actually went through that period of time and survived to give a true account of the events.

When i say great , I mean very interesting.

It was very interesting. He had pictures and passed around documents that he had kept from the 1930's etc. Apparently he's only one of a few who go around schools and talk about his experiences and he flew in from London just to come to our school so it was quite a privilege!
